I have a friend of mine who is interested in becoming a member. But she has tried a number of times to get through and cannot seem to get to the site.  She called me and I went through it step by step, ( was on my computer going through the steps at the same time). But with no luck, we are not computer savoy so I am not sure what to tell her to do next.  Her son is the one who always helped, but unfortunatly  he is in Iraq at this time.  Can anyone tell us what we should do?

Are you saying she can't find the Any Soldier site?

If, as catstevens41 suggested above, if your friend can't access the main site (www.anysoldier.com/wheretosend), her computer's security system may be programmed to block it.  For example, the public library in my town uses an internet filter called "NetNanny" to keep library users from accessing pornographic, illegal, and other types of sites.  I can't access anysoldier from that library's computers because it's considered "military/possibility violent" or something like that by NetNanny's censors.  Internet explorer can also have it's "content advisor" set to block certain types of websites. Lastly, in Internet Explorer, the system can be set to certain security levels which could prevent some sections of this website from running, "pop ups blocked".  Maybe a family member set the security levels for her without explaining them.  Just some suggestions to consider.

Well cat I guess I didnt explain that very well.  She makes it to the site, and then attempts to request a soldier.  But cannot get thru.    I am going over there today to try and help her.  

I don't know if the person who started this thread is having the problem I'm having, but yesterday and today I have requested a soldier's address, as I have many times in the past with complete success,  However, yesterday and today I have not received the email mail with the soldier's address, which I usually receive immediately, and have never NOT received, until yesterday and today.  So for my 2nd request today for the same name (third request in 2 days!), I had the soldier's address emailed to my office email, but I won't know if it went through until Monday.

 My question is, could this be a problem with my email (although I am receiving other emails okay.  I even took off my pop-up blocker).  Or has anybody else had a similar problem and what was the outcome?  If anybody can shed some light, I'd sure appreciate it.  This is totally frustrating!!!!!!
