    Lava Bar

    Hello,

Does any one have the 411 on Lava Bar?  The box says "The Original Lava Bar, the world's first liquid chocolate bar."  I thought I had read about these in this forum before a while back, but when I did a search nothing came up.  I want to include them in a care package if they're good.  But if they are nasty, then I want to return them to the store.  Sure would appreciate the feedback if any one has any info about them.

    Re: Lava Bar

I have sent Lava bars, but haven't gotten a reaction about them specifically.

They are tasty. Maybe it's because of the texture, but they remind me most of chocolate frosting.

Using the hot car in summer test, they do hold up in heat.

To be safe, the first time I put the box (I sent a box of them that I got at Sam's Club) in a large Ziploc.

Since then, when I've gotten them, I open the box, and put each "bar" (more like chocolate Capri Suns) in its own Ziploc. That way, I can spread them out between packages.

    Re: Lava Bar

I guess I need to do a search because I have never heard of a Lava Bar and couldn't find it at our stores. The only LAVA bar I could find is soap!  Big Smile  Or maybe I am looking in the wrong place? Will be happy to get the kids to test it if I can find some.

    Sambunny,

Thanks for the link.  I was thinking along the lines with MrsNorthCarolina about the Lava Bar.  Only Lava Bars down here are soap and its got pumice stone in it so definitely it wouldn't be tasty. Ick!  LOL LOL

Sister Ra it sounds like it would be yummy.

You know you are a junkie when you sign up to be a retailer just so you can send them to your guys.

    Re: Lava Bar

Thanks, everybody!  Yes, I got mine at Sam's, but before I sent them out, I wanted to make sure they were something the troops would actually like.  I did find a review of them somewhere in the UK and they were mixed, though most were positive.  So I guess they're worth trying.  Thanks again.
