We have all been talking about getting our troops their Christmas gifts and Halloween items already. But we would not have found our troops if not for AS so I was thinking since we are all in a gifting mood why not gift to the website. Most of you know it takes a $1000.00 a day to keep this site running so instead of drawning names at work or buying extend family a gift or buying Halloween goodies why don't we take that money and send it to Marty. If we take the amount we would have spent just think how much that would be. And it would give Marty and the rest of the team money to work with during the holidays. Set the mailing date for Oct 1st.

I can bet you money that if you asked any of your contacts they would said "If it will help one more person it would be a gift in it's self." Marty has connections to things we don't and could really use the money for big ticket items that could help a large number of troops.

I would like to know what the rest of you junkies think about this idea.

I think that is a great idea! Making a donation to AS is a great thing for that person who has everything [like Grandma!] We are making a donation to AS in her name and Grandma is getting a card.

Great idea!  My mother-in-law's birthday is in Oct...We'll also make a donation to AS in her name...she gets a card.

My family has been doing this for several years, our kids are in their 40's and don't need any more "stuff" either, so we donate to each others fav. charities.  The last few years that has been AS!!    Hopefully alot of people will pick up on this and a ton of $ will come rolling Marty's way.
