Hi Mariange,
I have two "soldiers of my own" and would be more than happy to share!!! LOL!!! One son is in Iraq, coming back to the states in December. The other is heading to Iraq in November. Sometimes I want to just scream "ENOUGH" but that would not be the good Army mom thing to do. Besides, there genuinely is nothing on earth they could be doing that would make me prouder!!
And you, obviously, have a son who is a soldier-at-heart. Yes, our sons and daughters serving in the military are serving our country and protecting our freedoms. Our hearts DO burst with pride over them but, Mariange, those of us here are well aware that the ones here at home have a responsibility to serve as well. I see that your son also serves in the way he can and celebrate HIS service and his health, as well. And, you, too are providing a major service to our country when you support those who are on the line every day. Some of them are able to face the responsibilities of each day thanks to people like you who let them know how much they are appreciated. They see the same news stories we see and it would be easy to get discouraged. It's the love and faith of people like the AnySoldier junkies that keeps them going!!!
Now, as the Army mom, I THANK YOU for all you're doing to support our troops!! And, don't worry, it's true that you're going to end up with more soldiers of your own than you know what to do with....but you'll find a way!!!
Hugs out to you and all AS JUNKIES!!
