    flavor straws

YesI noticed in the supermarket there are flavored straws (cookies and cream, chocolate, strawberry) that you put in milk and it flavors the milk. I dont know if I am showing my age, but I remember a type from my youth ( I am 54) that were simply called "flavor straws" and they were a white straw, with brown stipes for chocolate, red stripes for strawberry. I saw them again today in Dollar Tree, and bough a pack. I figure if nothing more, a change of pace is always a good thing.... and until we can send chocolate again, this might help the chocolate addicts!

I've never seen or heard of these, but they sound neat.  Do they really work?  Thanks for the tip, I'll be on the lookout for them!

My daughter seemed to like them.  I purchase the ones in the cereal isle that you can drink with your milk and then eat.

I saw them too.  It seemd to me that their only shortcoming in terms of sending them a soldier was that they are intended to be used with milk, which I wasn't sure the soldier would have.  Were you planning to send them with shelf milk? That sounds like a nice idea.
