That is beautiful.  You give me ideas.

I took a collection at work and most people were very generous.  The ones who gave nothing I felt like strangling.

I have a very hard time holding my tongue when people just shrug off the idea of helping the soldiers.  It really sets my hair on end.  Unfortunately I have a pretty big mouth and my foot fits into it nicely.  But anything those folks hear from me they deserve.

You must be an AnySoldier Junkie who talks A LOT about your soldiers when, at your family Christmas celebration, someone says the word Folgers, and your 5-year-old nephew says "Don't you mean Soldiers?"

I about fell off my chair laughing, and so did my family - who are all enablers of my "addiction"! None of the kids are too young to hear about our soldiers, and they are little Junkies in their own right. Instead of me asking them to color pictures for the soldiers, THEY ask ME if they can!

    Hi, James and Mary.

I sympathize with you.  I'll share a couple of tips that I have found useful.  First, I have found that many of the hearts closed to helping soldiers are that way because they think it is about supporting the war.  I find the more I press the point that it is all about letting someone thousands of miles away from home know they are appreciated, the more people I see get involved.  Second, a lot people somehow think that the military should be taking care of these people and they don't need goodie boxes or letters.  How they figure the government should be doing something only individuals can really do is beyond me.  But, I go into some of the testimonials from the site...or give a variation on letting someone far from home know they are not forgotten.  It doesn't get all of them.  But, it helps spread understanding.

I don't know if that will help, but I thought I would share my two cents worth of ideas.

If you see your name mentioned (among a list of others) by one of your guys..and you go WOOT!!  WOOT!! *yes, I'm whistling*  and your daughter turns to her startled friend & sez, "sorry, my mom is a dork about her soldiers!" (while grinning) and you think it's the best compliment ever.

You end up in the hospital and have to ask your daughter to stop at your house for something and she says "your house looks like the person living there became obsessed with something and forget everything else."

Which isn't really true, I've only 2 out of 18 plants that need help, and my parakeet is very healthy.  Ok, she's right. That is how it looks.  LOL

Yes, the larger size is going to be GREAT!

As a side note, I did send some 12x12 scrapbook paper in the FRB2 - it fit crosswise, and I filled in the spaces on either side with scrapping supplies. But it was not easy to pack, and I'm afraid the paper may have been bent and/or creased by the time it got there.

Can't wait to get these new boxes!!!

You must be (the neighborhood) AnySoldier Junkie if...   on stopping into your favorite USPS office you can hear the postal workers' smiling stage whisper of "she's here, she's here" (- feeling just a little trepidation-) then BLUSH with wet eyes at their excitement handing over a short stack of the new 12"x12" FRB:  "we saved them for you" they chorused, then one murmured, "because you take care of them".    Oh yes, I'll write "my" soldiers and tell them.
