So you know you are junkie when you pull a customs form out of your purse instead of a check for the church offerring......and do not notice until the basket is coming your way!!

I just read this, and laughed out LOUD! (And it's late here... so people are sleeping. Oops!) I can totally see doing this myself... I have customs forms, new and used, everywhere...

My name is Balt and I am an "anysoldier" junkie.  Isn't this the greeting from AA????.........LOL........

I realized I was a "junkie" last Saturday.  Several friends and myself went to a beer/food fest

and a home show was there too.  I instructed my friends to get all the FREE pens, pencils, rulers,

note pads, anything the exhibitors were giving out that I could send for the children.  I ended up with

78 pencils (already sharpened), 26 pens and lots of other fun stuff the kids will love.

Weekly, I also send links to websites for free items to all my co-workers and friends and family.  Hopefully in 6 weeks,

I will have LOTS and LOTS of items to send to the soldiers - and at no cost to us!!!

I can't find my nail clippers and then wondered if I sent then somewhere.

You get a part-time job not because you have to but to use all the money made to add to the budget to add more contacts and send out more packages!!

You remembered that you redeemed your husbands safety points from work and it amounts to a $25 gift card from wal-mart, and you know exactly how you will spend it......

You carry 2976-A forms around in your purse just in case you see something for your soldiers and need to ship it RIGHT NOW!

You think you have hit the lottery when you finally find a resource where you can buy 'Get Well" cards in bulk (600) and to top it all off you just bought the last case!!

Go back years and ask yourself would you ever buy 600 Get Well cards at one time ... NO Way!!  Couldn't use that many in a lifetime .... how things change over time & very proud that they have.

Thank You AnySoldier & my fellow junkies Smile

You know you're AnySoldier Junkie when....   the boys pop in between school & work with a "hey Ma, where's the smaller 1lb containers of protein powder?".... (and I've shipped those to Iraq and with the new shaker-bottles too).  "it's okay Mom" as they read my alarmed look "they need it more".    Sure do appreciate that the at-home kids understand their mother.

You get excited to see blooms on your newly planted vegetables because you know a productive garden to feed the family frees up money for AS care packages.

Debbie -  I found the case of 'Get Well' cards on eBay ... (luv that site)

I had been looking all over the net for a place to buy them in bulk/wholesale & just stumbled across a listing for a case of 600 cards.  They had 2cs Thx Giving & 1 cs Grad cards as well all for a resonable price ($40 - 50 incl shipping)  figured out to about 7-9 cents per card ... sweeeeet I say!!  All brand new, about 25-30 diff styles.  I was very happy

My plan is for my daughter's 4-H club to fill out a bunch of the Get Well cards & send them to Jerry's kids ..... lol (CSM Jerry that is)  They go to camp next week & I hope to get them done then.
