    Diana,

Girl I love it!  Chains for "emergency weight".  LOL LOL  Oh my stars!!!   I just hollered and I'm with Mystic93... I had to read that all over again and do a YEAH!  *giggling*

Maybe things worked out the right way since if you had said anything to Beverly that day things would not have changed, its kinda like they worked out so that you could meet Shirley and the situation get taken care of once and for all.  If you get Beverly as a mail carrier let me know and I will try to send you as many "emergency" cards and letters as I can.  LOL LOL  *wink*

There is NOTHING like waiting for a soldier to step off a plane.  So again, enjoy every moment of the anticipation and meeting your soldier when he gets off that plane.

    Hugs to you!

    G.I.O.BARBIE

Oh and Free that was a great idea bout the convention in Cleveland if Miss Sourpuss Smartypants hadn't gotten taken care of.  *giggling*

    Diana,

The chain is too funny!  What do you want to bet that the guys will use that chain?  It seems that "nothing goes to waste"!  Wouldn't it be funny if it is something they need, but never thought to ask for because it is so heavy?

Way to go.  I am sure I couldn't have come up with "emergency weight" as fast as you did.

It is going to be so pleasant the next time you go to that post office to mail.  It will also be very interesting.

Glad that you got some satisfaction over this ridiculous treatment.

I have never had a bad experience at the Post Office, and can't believe how you were treated!  Good for you for making a stand against poor customer service and assuring that others wouold not have to endure this nasty lady.  PS, the evil little guy sitting on my shoulder is laughing hysterically as we are now coming into the "heavy Christmas Catalog" season!!!  Lets see how heavy her mail pouch is now!

Hadn't read these posts before, too funny!  One employee at my PO used to get a little snippy and was so stringent about not having the slightest bulge on the FRB's, etc. plus always acting 'resigned' if he had to wait on me, which I tried hard to avoid.  I'd let people go ahead of me even. LOL   Now he is all friendly and chatty, maybe someone complained.  Granted sometimes I take in ALOT of packages (sometimes a truck full), especially this time of year, but that's their job, I try to go at less busy times and when all three clerks are on duty.   They let me unload them onto a cart thru the back door then go get in line in the front so that's VERY helpful.

Taking in treats may help too    :)

    Hi Julie,

Well the guys got the chain before Chase went back from R and R. When he got back  he called to tell me that  the guys were like " LOL Chase you will never guess what your buddy Diana sent us!"  He said they were going on and on about how silly I was to send that chain but that it came in handy alot of times pulling cars and trucks out of the mud and deep ditches!!  They have used it alot actually! Also, when he informed them I was no longer just a supporter but that I was his wife now, they got real excited and had a few cigars which was all good and well. But that night while he was sleeping a  few of the guys wrapped the chain around his leg and had a basketball at the end of it like a ball and chain!!!!! They have had fun as well as good use out of it!

Thanks for the laugh-out-loud funny story today! I needed a good laugh, and I got one at the thought of those soldiers wrapping a chain around his leg!

LOL! "Your buddy Diana"!! I bet he knocked their socks off when he told them you guys got married! Great story about the ball n chain! I will have to tell that one to my mom!  That was pretty clever of them, actually. Thank GOD they still have a wonderful sense of humor! What a great group of guys.

    Hey Kathy and Susan!

Check Diana's post on October 18 under "General chit-chat" titled "I missed you guys".  That's where the bean-spilling about this little surprise marriage took place.  She tried to non-chalantly sneak it in, but I caught her!  LOL

    It'a a great story!
