Read Kevin Creel's update today - they had an office fire and lost everything. His post tells what they need at this point.

Hi, Everyone, I'll run out and see how many sets of sheets I can come up with and let you know in a bit. Also, I have Texas postcards on hand that I'll send out tomorrow. I have lots of drink mixes, packed and ready to go. Will see what else I can pull together and post a little later. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Hugs, Brenda

Do the sheets have anything to do with the fire in the office, or is that just an oh, BTW - we need sheets too? I can't imagine sheets getting burned up in an office fire?

Hey Gran!
The sheets were something we've been needing for awhile now. We've been here over eleven months, and the dirt and dust from the summer, combined with the mud from the winter, has really taken a toll on our stuff. I just thought it would be nice for these guys to have clean sheets to lay down on.
Thank you SO MUCH for all the support! It has just been amazing to feel so much love coming from all over the world!
We'll see you guys when we come home!
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Do you still need sheet sets? If so, how many? Are they any office supplies you still need? I tried to contact you via email or PM, but it wouldn't let me do it.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Hey Vicki! (And everyone!)
I think we're good on sheets. I got two more sets in a care package this morning, and gave them out to the last two people who had asked for them. Our main office has even stepped up and made sure we had the basic office supplies we needed, so even that has been taken care of! We did, however, discover something else that got burned in the fire that we didn't even think about: phone cards! We each kept a couple in our desks, and about a week ago someone went to look for one when it dawned on all of us... they're gone! So I guess if there was something we needed, that would be it. I know a lot of people who would appreciate a phone card!
Everyone here has just been amazed at the response we've gotten! I'm trying to figure out some way to publicly recognize all of you for taking such good care of us. You guys are what makes America so great!

Hey everyone! I'm not sure if this will help or not but I know that the VFW is offering free phone cards to men and women that are deployed. The link is http://www.operationuplink.org/request.cfm - you can request one per soldier every 60 days. The only thing I do not know is what the amount of time is on the phone card but I'm sure it would help in the interm until you can get more phone cards.
Thanks for all YOU are doing for us Kevin!!
By the way, do you need any post cards from Ohio (Cincinnati area) or Las Vegas, Nevada? My mom just got back from there and she brought me some post cards for the soldiers! I'll be more then happy to pass those on! Let me know!

Thanks, Susan! I ordered a card for my nephew and it worked like a charm.
Kevin -- do you need postcards from Colorado or Texas? It's a priviledge to support you. We are so grateful for what you and your soldiers do each and every day for us. You ARE the reason we sleep safe and sound each night. Thank you.

Hey again! :)
There aren't any specific requirements for the calling cards. We're able to connect to the phone lines back home, so we can use the regular phone cards. I tried to jump on the VFW site to order some, but would you believe it's blocked over here for "Political Activism"?!
I'm sorry I haven't updated everyone on the post in a little while, but we're kind of "homeless" right now until we can move into another office. I promise I'll give a good postcard count soon!
Take care, and if you're in California, think wet thoughts!
Kevin
