    New Clip & Ship Restrictions

I just tried to print a label for a package for mailing, but the post office's web page won't let me do it.

It says that you can't print labels to zipcode 093xx anymore (which is just about everywhere the troops are). So I tried changing the zipcode to a non-093xx, and it still won't let me print one.

Anyone know how to get around this most recent (today is 11/23/07) roadblock to electronically printing labels?

    Dennis,

For APO or FPO addresses, you can not use the Click and Ship feature on the US Postal Service website to print out a label.  I don't know if it's because all boxes to soldiers overseas require a customs form or what the reasons are, but it has never worked since I started with AS a year ago.  You have to take even the flat rate boxes to the PO and stand in line to mail them to the troops.

I hope that won't stop you from sending care packages to your soldiers.

The USPS has an unusual knack for screwing up the online forms when it comes to getting mail to the troops.  Like how about requiring a phone number??

Use a 'normal' shipping label using the address as we show, and use the 'hard copy' Customs forms and you can't loose.
