Hello everyone...
Just spent sometime looking over this wonderful forum!
Found out about anysoldier.com from an email about a week ago.. Since then my family has organized a Holiday shipment to various soldiers to replace our gift exchange this year. I do not see this being a ONE time shipment!
As I sit here typing this I have 2 boxes ready to go tomorrow. Well almost still need to fill out the post office documents but I have printed my facts in case I run into any problems tomorrow!

Welcome Tricia!
We're glad to have you here, and I can just about GUARANTEE you that it won't be a "one time thing"
Thanks for sharing your holiday "gifts" with our troops!

It won't be your last and if you get a response from your soldiers watch out for the "Junkie Fever" it is incurable.

Hi there, I am from Massachusetts also. Isn't this a great thing? I am also involved with other organizations. The one time thing, is a one time thought. I find using the flat rate 8.95 boxes from the post office work well cutting down on the cost of shipping.
I am actually trying to reach out to the Any Soldier community. I m trying to locate ANY active soldiers that are Respiratory Therapists. I am VP of the state organization, and I am looking for some imput from them. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Justine,
Did a search on the where to send page....the only soldier listed under respiratory therapist is Kelli Bittle. She is from the 325th Combat Support Hospital out of Independence, MO. She states that she is one of four respiratory therpists currently working at her location. Her post has a note to update...you may want to contact the Any Soldier Support team for their input on what you need to do to reach her. You also may be able to contact the hospital in Missouri for more information. Hope that helps. Laura

Hi Justine - Try searching on the search page in the requests field on Respiratory Therapist - singular - you may find more. Good Luck.

Justine,
If you can't find the right person on anysoldier.com, another option is to contact Karen Grimord at the www.LandstuhlHospitalCareProject.org. (This group is listed on the www.anysoldier.com links) You can contact her through the website - or if you have trouble, contact anyone there and they will forward your email to Karen. This group supports medical units in Iraq/Afghanistan/Kuwait (as well as wounded Soldiers at the Landstuhl Hospital), and I'll bet she can find you a respiratory person. I would tell her why you want to - if you want to donate equipment, or get information, etc. If it's to support someone, tell her what you want to do, and she'll advise whether it works for this group. Either way, it sounds lovely! Barbara Schochet, Ph.D.

Hello, Eric here from KiokiCigar Company. Serving our troops by giving them cigars to sit back and relax after a hard day of work. Just sent out two packages to two units. I know they will enjoy them. I sent coffee bean, from my own private blend. Can they ground them? Any help on this would be great. Thanks again: kiokicigars@verizon.net

Hello Eric, Welcome. I don't know about all of the units, but the ones I deal with do not have a way to ground coffee beans.
They will love the cigars.

Hi Eric,
The guys will LOVE the cigars. As for the beans??? Whenever I send coffee beans (because they stay fresher longer), I include a bean grinder ($13 @ Walmart). They're small and fit easily in a box.
Unless they've posted it, told you or you've sent them one, you'll never know if they've a bean grinder or not. I wouldn't worry too much though. I'd bet they'll find a way to grind those beans even if it's with a hammer. Necessity is the Mother of invention.
