I get airline miles for my charges.  I haven't had to pay for a flight in years, and usually go first class.  That said...BOXES AWAY!  yay...my first boxes went out in the mail today.  And I don't know if it has been said or not, but you can order a monthly delivery of the boxes from the USPS site.  They told me at the post offices today.  I had to go to three different POs to get boxes because they were all out.  I had to visit the big one at the airport, and then I grabbed 20.  if I am counting right, I have 16 boxes to go out, but I think I can still find use for the other 4.  LOL

Yes, my husband actually called me a "junkie" the other day.   We went camping at a KOA campground last weekend (for some well needed R&R) and while taking a walk around the campground, I went into the laundry room.   No.....not to do laundry....but to check out their supply of magazines!!!!      My husband just shook his head and called me a junkie.  I laughted so hard and said yeah......for my troops..........Just had to share that.   It is amazing how your mind just goes on our troops sooooo much!!!      Lots of posts to catch up with on the forum......

The magazine issue made me smile.  I was in my local Library this weekend, inquiring whether they had (old) free magazines or a magazine swap (not really thinking they would).  Without hesitation and with almost an eye roll, the desk clerks said, "you JUNKIES have to go to the downtown library for soldier stuff".   OMG! this is San Francisco!  See, I knew I wasn't the only one.

Your remote control needs a new battery.  You bought some and you KNOW you did, but can't find them.  Then you're packing up boxes for your soldiers and what do you find?  Yep, YOUR batteries in their stuff (out of habit).

Finally my remote will be operable again!!!

--You're seriously thinking of changing your dining room's color scheme to red, white and blue so that all those flat rate boxes blend right in.

 

--You buy two of anything and your kids ask first, "Is this for us or for the soldiers?"

 

-Your 6 year old says when you're packing a box full of candy and treats, "I think you love the soldiers more than you love me."

 

-You start your morning with coffee, devotions, and a note to a soldier.

-You wonder if your grocery cart is better stocked for the soldiers than their own PX.
