It is so good to hear from you.  You sound in much better spirits since the last time you posted on AS.  I want to wish you and everyone in your unit a Happy Easter.  Are there any special requests that you guys would like to get?  Just let the forum know.  It's great to hear that you read it every day, so I guess we can also talk to you this way, since you are in touch.  I do have one question, when your unit changes in a month or so, does that mean you will still get pkgs. and letters that were mailed to your old unit, or do they get the packages?  Tell all the other soldiers that we are praying for you and them, and that you are constantly in our thoughts and hearts.  God Bless all of you.  Take care of yourselves and stay safe.

hey, Mimi.  to answer you question, yes, we will get the packages, not them.  don't worry about that.  i'll let everyone know when the address is about to change, so the packages and letters can be stopped for a little bit, and once the transition is over, we'll start it back up.  ok? does that answer your question? and yes, you guys can communicate with me through here.  talk to you later.  svet

Just wanted to let you know that we are all thinking of you.  Hope you guys are safe.  You are all so brave.  You answered my question, thank you, and I'm glad we can talk to you from the forum.  How did you make out with the showers?  Is it still disgusting?  Since your address will change, do you get to go to a nicer place?   Whew!  I know I like my bathroom facilities, private.  Yikes!  Were you able to get something over that hole in the door?  Well, I just wanted to say be well, and I am praying for all of you.

Junkies -- Svetlana has a new post up today (4/13/08)!  She's doing well, but access to the Forums has been blocked over there, so she hasn't been able to talk to us for a little while.  In the meantime, she IS asking for a few more packages!

A swimming pool!  That's great that you are getting to relax for a few days, away from that other location.  So does this mean that you are going back to the yucky camp?  I sent you the 2 goodie times and 1 hygiene kit from your Mom's TreatAnySoldier site.  I ordered on the 15th, they usually send within 48 hours.  I order from your Mom's site because I know that she knows exactly where to send them.  I had got a message from the sales dept. on the 17th that 2 of the other soldiers that I sent to -- the addresses and the comment box had gotten mixed up.  I sent a relpy with your name and the other two soldiers who were to get what order number.  I think, with the new system, where we just put in our e-mail and then request your name, if you have more than 1 order on same day, for some reason the pkg gets mixed up.  This has happened 2x.  I think there may be a glitch in the system, because it never happened before when I inputted the address myself.  Maybe you can ask your Mom if the 3 pkgs I ordered for you on the 15th went out on the 18th.  So much for technology.

Anyway, your spirits seem so much brighter.  I'm glad you are getting to play volleyball, and also to be able to read the forum again.  I know this forum is like your home away from home site as you can see what it going on in the States.  Make sure you check out the "To people from Oklahoma and Texas" thread, it's uplifting and we are all having a good time discussing the differences in dialect from all different parts of the country.  It's guaranteed to bring back memories.

So, kiddo, take good care of yourself.  Know that you are constantly on my mind and in my heart.  I am praying for you and your family and all the soldiers who so bravely defend our country.  God Bless you sweetie.  I love you.

I'm wondering about your coffee situation. I sent you a small package of coffee way back when you were having address issues, so I don't know if you got it or not. But I'm wondering if you're still looking for coffee, and if so, any certain kinds? Do you all have a coffee grinder?

Junkies -- did you all see Svet's post of 4/23/08?  Her group needs more volleyballs -- they're wearing them out!  You go! Yeay for Svet's team!!!    And, the guys need basketballs too!  Can anyone help out to keep the teams playing?

Oh -- and my Girl Scout Cookies have all been devoured by my hungry guys  (sorry, Svet) -- but if any of you thoughtful, saving Junkies have some left, Svet's groups would sure appreciate them!

Hey Svet,

Your Mom is one terrific lady.  I thought you might update the forum before you go back to wherever you are going back to.  Like Marilyn said, I hope you didn't get too much sun when you went swimming.  We are all watching out for you, sweetie.  What did you guys ever do with that bathroom problem?  I know I like privacy when I use the bathroom.  I would not like a male/female bathroom.  No way.  I don't even like camping.  I am not the rustic type.  Give me my ladies room!

Anyway, I also would like you to let the forum know what kind of food you would like to get.  What are your favorites?  I would say you don't like sweets since you don't eat cookies.  So let us know what you would enjoy and we will work on getting that to you wonderful soldiers.  Do you guys need more hygiene supplies?   God Bless all of you always.
