    Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition

It seems like several of us have indicated we need a new thread for 2008, but no one has wanted to start one - I'll step up to the plate Stick out tongue

First contact I'd like to mention is PFC E. Kilter.  First posted 12/24/07 for 50 contacts, only requested 7 times.

Thanks, mystic! I agree with whoever first suggested starting the new thread. This will be a little more manageable.

I'd like to make a suggestion, for ease of reading what I'm sure will end up being a long thread: put the soldier's name in bold. (Just a suggestion, not trying to dictate... Smile )

Agreed.  Another board I post on wants the members to do that anyway, so I'm already in the habit.

Lt. Jeff L. Robinson was added 01 Oct 07, and has been requested only 17 times as of today 10 Jan.

SGT Jared Victor was added 05 Oct 07, and has been requested only 16 times as of today.

Neither one actually says they haven't gotten anything, but their latest updates have me wondering.

PFC Luis F. Ochoa sounds like he could use more support, and definitely letters of encouragement. In his last two posts he sounds pretty discouraged. He's had 18 address requests for 5 males (as of 13 Jan 08), signed up on 5 Nov 07 and will be there until Jan 09.

I noticed him also.  I have already started a box and will get it out tomorrow.

Our package and letter are ready to be mailed tomorrow.  My only regret is that it will probably take a week to get to him from the West coast!  Sounds like he can really use some immediate cheering up!  Thx Jennifer for bringing to our attention!

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition

I just joined the forum today.  I heard about AnySoldiers.com from Fox and Friends.  This site is so addicting.  I sent tonight from Treat Any Soldier, 3 male hygiene sets for PFC LUIS F. OCHOA.  I hope he gets them soon.  I also have sent packages to about 8 other contacts.  I started in Dec, 2007.  It is so heart-wrenching.  I just wish I could support all these kids, as I know we all must feel the same way.

    Love, Mimi Z

SSG Jeffrey J. Yee has only been requested 13 times (as of 14 Jan 08), and was added to the site on 13 Oct 07. He represents 11 males. He's had an address change (today), and it looks like he may have been dropped to the "old contacts" for about a month before this.
