    CJS,

If you have some ideas from 1SG Burford could you email me?  I sent him a box last Sat also but have not heard from him.  (I mailed it from Maine so maybe it will take a day longer).  It was a hodge podge of things like snacks, baby wipes, eye drops and a few magazines.  I want to know what they need, do they have a microwave etc.  I have another box already taped up for him but I can repack if needed.  It has a nerf ball hoop and snacks in it.  My coworkers have been bringing in their magazines for them too. I plan to send Sports Illustrated, Men's Health, Budget Travel and Better Homes and Gardens.

    thanks-Brenda

This is one of the most heart wrenching things that I've ever been involved in. I want to request EVERYONE and send things to them all.

I know we all feel the same way. Thank God there are so many of us!!! Let's keep passing out information on this site wherever we go. I've resorted to sneaking the cards onto cars in parking lots recently. Hope I don't get arrested!!!

So, Marilyn, I can't resist SGT Chester Duvall and I'll get something out tomorrow.

Oh, Reta -- do I ever hear you Smile  They just reach off that page and grab your heart and won't let go.  He's getting something from me too!

Going through I came across 2 soldiers that are representing large groups ~ I know that we could all pull together and help them : )

MSG Steven L Carter  250 males & 85 females   ~  on since Dec 4, 2007  and only had 25 requests for the address!

SSG John C Rutherford  200 males & 10 females  ~ on since Dec 15, 2007  and only had 33 requests for the address!

Thanks everyone that takes the time to request them, and send them alittle something!!!

We got the address for SGT Joseph L. King today and sent them a package packed full of a variety of cereal bars and 2 oz. trail mix and a couple of PC games, so he has some love headed his way.

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition

FYI:  I received an e-mail from LOVIER WALKER on Valentine's Day.  She said "Happy Valentine's day to all of you.  I am sending my love and biggest thanks to all of you fine people who support us in all that we do.  You may look at us as hero but the true Hero's are those of you who send these gifts of love and thought that makes our lives during our deployment so much easier."  She goes on to say she is a mom of 3, missing them so much each day.  She is currently scheduled to get married in April to a wonderful guy who is also a single parent.

I replied back; and she e-mailed me back.  I told her, let me know the names of your children and their ages, and I will send you cards to send to them.  Just wanted to let you know.

My husband and I sent out 4 boxes to 1LT Angel Soto today.  I hope they don't take long to arrive - I want them to be feeling the love ASAP!!

Well.....SPC Robinson is looking for a laptop, no mention of anything else. I think that's out of  the reach of the average supporter.   But hopefully she got 8 of them!   Yes

There is a very nice update from PFC OCHOA  (mentioned here as needing support on 1/13)... looks like you all did your stuff successfully. I cannot take any credit for this one, but wanted to point out the nice update he wrote today.

Oops I just realiized that the post today is from a different Ochoa, ..(James not Luis) but this one as well was saying previously that they never do mail call and now he is thanking everyone. So, wrong Ochoa, but same good sentimentsBig Smile

I also requested 1LT Angel Soto and sent him a cookie box from TreatAnySoldier.  Lori, hopefully the packages will arrive there soon for his soldiers.  His posting breaks your heart.
