I was just looking at some of the new posts, and 1LT Courtney Olsen posted saying they have not recieved anything from AS since Christmas. They have had 14 address requests. Looking for games and colorful things to decorate the area.

Chapman is one of my contacts and I mailed a package with GS cookies, snacks and DVD on Feb 15th.  Makes me wonder if they are having a problem receiving mail or if my package got hijacked.  Crying

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition

I sent a letter to Antonio Rodriguez and it was just returned to me with the address crossed out and a return to sender stamp.  I double checked that I had written the address correctly, and I managed to get it right.  It seems that they were particularly careful about crossing out the "Attn: Any Soldier" line.  I e-mailed Marty hoping he'd be able to figure out what was going on.  I just wanted everyone to know that there maybe a reason Antonio isn't getting any mail other than a lack of support.  I'm going to resend the letter without the Attn: Any soldier line and an extra note telling him what happened.

Did anyone else get things back with the address crossed out or was it just me?

Re: Overlooked contacts - SFC FLAMER

Is it SFC Flamer y'all are sending pkgs. to?  If so, can you tell us what kind of things you are sending?  We got his address, and would like to send something other than what is being sent since he hasn't gotten any for a while.

I received a thank you e-mail from Antonio Rodriguez yesterday, so the packages I sent got through. Both packages had "Attn: Any Soldier" included in the address. I'm curious why you got your letter back.

    Thanks for the info!

Hmmm maybe they just didn't like me at the postoffice??? Confused  My first guess was that I wrote the address wrong (generally my first assumption is that it's ME).

I'll give it another try tomorrow -- hopefully it gets through this time!
