Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition

I sent to MSG Jimmie Wrisper in January - he was off base and didn't receive the package until March and sent an apology for his tardiness in response.   Sent him some electronic games, a couple PC games, batteries, and a few snacks last Saturday (3/29)

SGT Norman Llamas (16 males) posted 4/4/08 that he's only received two packages.  10 requests since 2/13/08.

James J. Preo is a Sailor in Afghanistan. He is a contact for 12 males and 2 females. He signed up on 15 Feb, his address has been requested 14 times, but he reports on 6 April:

Sorry but I have yet to receive anything from any soldier at this time. Once I receive something I will post a comment.

Grrrr...just gonna vent here for a sec, but what the heck with 14 requests and not even a card. Come on people! Why request the address? It only makes it look like the contact has support and clearly they don't so if you're just curious, find another way to satisfy that.

    Ok, I feel better. thanks

Oh... and I got Preo today... just picked up some new release DVDs I think they'll like : )

I wondered the same thing when I saw his post today. I don't get it...

Makes me wonder how many others are in that condition but just haven't said anything since many of them don't have reliable internet access to let us know about it! Sad

And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

Should SPC Michael J. Singer be included?

He doesn't represent that big a group, but there are less than 10 requests, I believe.

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition

I can't say for sure that this soldier has been "overlooked" but he's certainly asking for support:

I just wanted to let you know my Soldiers appreciate your support and will need it more than ever in the coming months. We will be moving again and will be needing the same ole' stuff. Just the basics for now. Thank you in advance and again, thank you for your support. Jeff

His name is 1SG Jeff Coffman, he's in Iraq until Sept. 30, 2008, and represents 45 males and 15 females. There have been 21 requests for his address, but he's been signed up since Sept. 2007 and has had one address change, so I'm thinking they could use some of our "junkie magic".

Re: Overlooked contacts - 2008 edition

SFC Luppa S. Gilchrist has been brought up by me in the past as an overlooked contact.  On the monthly updates it said she had been receiving regular packages.  However, she posted today that she still is not receiving much at all and it has been about a month since they received anything.  She has even cut back to 2 the number of people she is supporting, herself and one other person.  She encouraged all the other people she had been representing to sign up themselves because they might have better luck.  She had 26 requests when I initially posted her here over a month ago and I believe now she is at 27 or 28.

I just wondered if anyone has supported SPC Anthony Jackson from GA. There are 5 males and 1 female in the group. He was added in February and there have been 12 requests, but his update on 4/11/08 sounds like he hasn't received much of anything yet, if anything at all.
