First and foremost, Thank You!!!!   Your response of emails and kind words is amazing.  I just want to let you know that a simple hellp means the world to the troops.

I am trying to post pics up here so that I can help you see who I am and some of the stuff we are doing.  Of course nothing Operational but just some fun things and what not.  Let me know if this pic comes through.

Hi, Christian -- to the best of my knowledge, you can't post photos to the Forum, but you can post them to your page on the AnySoldier site.  Try sending them there -- we'd love to see them

I'm not sure about this but it's worth a try, in the tool bar above where you type your post their is a pic of a tree and that is for insert/edit image.  I believe that is how you would do it, however I don't recall seeing pics on the forum it may be set up so as not to allow pics.  You could also provide a link to the pic if you have a myspace or some other page to link to.

We are not allowed to post pictures here on the forum- but you can always add pictures to your contact update page... that's a great way to stay in touch with your supporters too. (we LOVE pictures!)  The only sad part about that is the inability to give people a direct link to that page if you want to tell other people to check it out- they would need to look you up.  If you told us here on the forum- "I posted some pictures" we'd all know how to find them- but your Aunt Meg might have some trouble finding them if she's not used to how AnySoldier is put together.

Photobucket is the photohost I use. If you host a picture somewhere else, you can just share the link here.

Another thing you might like doing, if it was ok with your chain of command- is a blog.  They are not hard to do- even for a computer moron like me- and Blogger will host the pictures you upload.

As said above, indeed it is an honor to have "our heroes" on this forum. There are a lot of creative people on here, but you would be amazed at how many times we have different experiences in what to send, what to say, etc,.. so please we WELCOME you to offer your advice on any thread. As you can see, we stay busy:) .. we truly love supporting you men and women who serve our great country.

I was getting spoiled by having several regular units and all but one have gone home.. I am glad, of course! But, now I am back to sending out all kinds of random pacakges but that is kind of fun too!   If nothing else, if you ever come across a soldier who feel alone or feels that no one cares.. tell him/her about this site.. Go read our "overlooked contacts" etc threads.. we try our best to ensure every single Soldier/Marine/Airman/Sailor is taken care of -- and we want to do our best to show it.
