This is a GREAT post -- CW2 Lawrence A. Leuci posted today (Jan. 29) asking for pizza-making supplies -- you gotta read it   This soldier has a pizzeria going in Iraq for his group -- FAN-tastic   He's asking for help with supplies.

Wow!!  Before I read the post I was going to suggest these pizza kits that I saw at Big Lots! 

What an ambitious group they are.  They must have high morale!

Does anyone on the east coast know a restaurant owner or supplier? Or someone who owns a pizzeria? Oh, the possibilities!

I've never seen it, but I assume there's beef pepperoni since no pork is allowed?

Edit...or turkey pepperoni, now that I've looked online.  My town's too small for anything out of the ordinary (or gasp...  gourmet!).

CW2 Leuci recently posted that CNN was filming a story about the pizzaria, and I just saw it aired today!  I'm sure they'll repeat it at intervals, so tune in if you have time!

Hi, Gang!  CW2 Lawrence A. Leuci posted today -- 7/28/08 -- they're getting low on pizza supplies and could use some help --

"We are out or almost out of flour, ragu traditional, jars of chopped garlic and cans of mushrooms. I would like to continue to make pizza every weekend until the end of September if the supplies keep coming in."

Wow, When I went to the store I picked up the wrong flour, now I know what to do with it.  I will go tomorrow and get some garlic and mushrooms to go with it.
