 Hi everyone! SURPRISE! I found a computer for a few minutes! LOL Just wanted to say hey...we are in Columbia tonight and tomorrow. Came up to use a friend's computer and phone. We are also leaving one of our cats with her because the cat is sick and needs to be put down. Easier on us if she does it. 

 Better get to going...another friend is here saying goodby to our cat. She has gotten attached to him too. Everyone take care! And thanks so much for the card Anne Marie! It was much appreciated!!

PS.......sorry to hear of the loss of your cat.   We can and do get soooooo attached to our pets.   My dog has been with me over 10 years.......and there are many times she sits by my side and KNOWS what I am thinking and how I feel.   I can see it in her eyes.    And if I'm upset about something........she won't let anyone near me.    Ah.....the loyalty of a pet.   

When I started the poem for Fathers I automatically thought about God MY Father... I had to come back and write this for HIM!

And of course after I read about Robyn having to put her cat down... I had to write this.

My Pet.... My Child... My Friend Indeed

My pet is almost just like my child to me
The longer I have her the closer we'll be
Whether it's a meow a bark a cluck or squeak
I love the spots the fins the paws or the beak

I have a beautiful pet and I am sure you do too
And if you lost that pet what it would mean to you
We love our animals... heart... body and soul
To have them live a joyful life is our goal

We play with them we feed them and love them everyday
We do all we can for them in every possible way
And in return... they are always there
It seems like they never have a worry or care

One thing more I'd like to share with you
It's the favorite thing with my pet I like to do
When it's late at night and time to go to bed
She will cuddle and nestle along side of my head

So when you see me walking down the street
And you see a little critter or two at my feet
Don't stop and stare and wonder why
Now that you know... Nod your head as you walk by

Because now you know my feelings strong and true
And how with out my pet I would feel sad and blue
Now for you there is something I wish
A pet for you... a cat a dog a mouse or a fish

So you will feel the love that I share
And fall in love with one that is in your care
Please take her and love her and feed her too
And you will never again be sad and blue

Good job Chris!!! You really have a gift!
Haven't really been working out too much but I plan on starting that thing you told me about with 5 of each exercise..thanks for the encouragement!!! Going to get a cadence cd monday...uggh. For those of you who don't know a cadence cd does nothing but say" up down up down up down up down  up down up down' for hours on end. Will definitely help me to have that. Still HAVE to cut down on all the candy I eat!! Why must something that tastes so good be so bad for you?!

I would love to help organize but without reliable internet access I am afraid I won't be a good one for that.

Hope everyone is well. We are doing as well as can be expected. Had to have our eldest cat put to sleep on the 18th after he became seriously ill. Very sad time for us but we survived.

We are loving the lower gas prices! We can now fill up our truck for just $40 instead of $80 to $100! Maybe now we can get caught up on bills!

Hey, Chris, you would be proud of me...I have been reading the Bible a lot more lately. Not walking as much but that is changing now that hubby and I have a plan. Figured out that laps around the house are out because the backyard is nothing but exposed roots from a huge tree. Too rough to safely walk over for me so I am doing circuits of the front yard instead.

AND I will be able to pay the program fee on my surgery after the first of the year so I will be having that gastric bypass sometime soon! Good changes to hubby's insurance is making it possible. I will keep you posted.

Gots to run...lots more to do and only 30 minutes left on the computer time. Take care everyone! And, Anne Marie, I am still working on writing back to you.

 OH and I finally got to talk to my boy! What a day that was! He no longer hates me so much! Yay!

HELLO EVERYBODY!! Well the big day is almos here!!

Tomorrow is my last day to pack everything extra up to ship home.... which includes this computer! So, I won't be online again until I get to Camp Shelby, Mississippi on or around the tenth! By that time I would like all of you to drop in and read what I am going to write tomorrow. Well.... actually I hope to start on it tonight and finish it tomorrow! Then I will copy it into the thread. I don't know what I want to say yet but I kind of know how I WANT to do it. So... everybody check in tomorrow.... I should have it done no later then ten am South Carolina time!

And don't worry about me staying in touch. We have a computer at home and THIS one will be set up in aother room for two computers so I can get on ONE of them when I have time with LITTLE or no problem. You all will grow tired of reading me ramble long berore I tire of rambeling!!

Just popped in to see how you're doing.  Perfect timing!  I'm glad you're going home.  Mississippi?  You said Camp Shelby, so that's where you're stationed out of, right?

My dear friend just moved back to MS 10/3/08.  I miss her, but most of her children are there, so it was time to go home.  I hope to get there in March to visit her.  She lives around Anguilla, MS.

Have a safe trip home and when you get your feet back on American soil, consider yourself hugged to welcome you home.

Chris no need to thank us...we thank you. The Lord has blessed us with so many great people, including you, that are willing to put so much on the line for people who really would never take the time to say thank you.
