Hi Chris! We are glad you are back among us-even if just a bit of the time!! Sorry to hear of the past year, but I am so glad to hear that you are doing well now, and that maybe it was all for the best for you.  We are suffering through a dismally hot fall, about 15 degrees above where we are supposed to be for this time of year, so that makes it hard to concentrate sometimes! It is just too darn hot! This past year I have had back surgery, but am mended and able to move around with limited restrictions. Have not quite gotten back into walking too much, but I do what I can till it hurts! *G*  We hope to see you as we can, and hope that you are happy in your new place.

Hi Chris! So glad to hear from you!!

I wondered what was going on since I had no reply to my letters but figured you were busy with family! I can certainly relate to that!

I have great news! I finally got my gastric bypass surgery February 10th of this year and as of Sep. 18th, I have lost 114 pounds!! I am feeling better but will be even better when I drop another hundred or so! I started out at 495 day of surgery and last time I was weighed, I weighed in at 381. Almost time to buy new clothes!

Hubby is out of work, long story. Trying for the last two months to find a job but no joy yet. His age and the fact we filed bankruptcy in December is going against him. Once he gets a job, I can buy new clothes! For now, I am continuosly taking in the waist to keep the pants I have from falling down around my ankles! I have a picture taken of me at 6 months post op wearing jeans I couldn't wear before surgery. I will put it up as my avatar.

I am more active but not as active as I would like to be but we now have two dogs who make sure I get plenty of exercise! Dave got me a red miniature pinscher for Christmas! He is adorable!

Hope to hear more from you! Welcome back to the internet! LOL And great news on the new job!!

Chris, I'm glad things are working out for you!! I recently started a new job after being out of work 5 months. I am a supervisor at a nursing facility. I have only been there a few weeks but I think I will be happy there. My soldier son will be home on leave in a few days and will be getting married. We will be driving to Watertown NY for the ceremony. He is currently in Korea. He deployed there only 6 months after his 15 month deployment to Iraq. My 3 youngest girls are still attending school. 2 at college and 1 at vocational school. My oldest has blessed us with a grandson who is now 1 year old. Great to hear from you.Keep us posted.

    Diane
