    LTC Mitchell Cohen

After reading his 2-29 post, sounds like he could use some good ol' Junkie cheer.  He has hit a rough spot.

I meant to post about him last nite when I read his post so thank you for reading my mind and actually doing it. (you know what they say, great minds think alike). His post struck me because it was both pretty humorous and pretty touching.

Got a box and a letter out to him this morning with several of his wishlist items - was lucky to have picked up some Easter York Peppermint patties and had some drink mix sleeves in flavors different than what he mentioned being tired of!  Smile

Can you let us know which flavors you sent?  I have some in my *soldier stash* I can send, but don't want to duplicate yours!  Stick out tongue

    Marilyn,

I plan on sending the Crystal Light Cherry Pomegranite (I know it's spelled wrong) and the Morning Rush vitamin/energy drink tubes or the Kool Aid Blue Cherry tubes.

    Snacks: jerky, chips and raisins

Since I am doing a food box, I won't send the "tush" items, but someone else may have that covered.

    Best,

    Re: LTC Mitchell Cohen

I sent Kool-Aid fruit punch flavor and Market Pantry (Target brand) Strawberry-Orange-Banana.

I also sent some Jerky,  peppermint patties, Apple chips, and yogurt-covered cranberries.  (not likely those last two will be replicated..LOL)

    cj,

Am I reading your post correctly, you sent Cottonelle wipes in with the snacks/food/drinks?

Being a new Junkie I thought we couldn't combine food and hygeine items? Or am I mistaken and sending wipes with drink tubes & snacks will work? Thanks for filling me in.

I am going hunting for the bigger FRBs (hopefully with America Supports You logo on box) at the post office and can't wait to see how much Junkie cheer these babies can really hold!

    Best,

Please forget that I wrote that.  You should not send any hygiene products with food items per Marty.

I think he'd like some letters and funny cards of support.....stuff to break the monotony of the work! And he said that the temps are up in the 100's again so sun screen and moisturizes as well as flavored stuff to put in their water is also good.
