    K-9 Cooling Vests

Don't know if this has already been discussed anywhere but here goes....one of my K-9 contacts requested a cooling vest for his MWD (summer's coming).  Several of us went in on it and found the website:  www.helpingudders.com  I contacted Mickal...what a great contact here.  She explained that they have donations come in for the MWD vests but no contacts to send them to.  She's a one woman show....She gave me permission to post her site if anyone else is interested.  They also carry the dogoogles, booties and throw in a military approved MWD toy.  She ships directly to our guys and gals...no custom forms for us to fill out YEA!!!

Marty, if there is already a thread for this sorry.  jz

    Hi!

Speaking of Tim Webb's K-9 group, does anyone have any info on them? I saw in another posting that a group would be returning to Camp LeJeune on May 20. Do you know if he was part of them or is there any way to find out?? I've been writing him and the his K-9 comrades for a while and I'm really curious if they came home. I'm so new at this, any info. would help.

    Thanks!

I am definitely interested in this, being a BIG TIME dog lover; however I am spread sooo thin at the moment...  It will be added to my "wish list"...  Thanks for the information.

Thanks for letting us know about this site.  What they are doing is great and I sent them a donation and hopefully I will be able to send more as time goes by.

Check out the cooling vests (and other coooling products here).  Including shipping an X-large one would be about $70 here:

    Debbie,

Save $70.  See the post by Joyce back in March.  Here is the link.  www.helpingudders.com There is no waiting list right now.  I want to send one to the contact who's MWD's equipment was stolen.  I am also sending a choke chain to him that I already have.

Again, I thought the site said the vests were $129 and when they got enough donations one could be sent.  Will have to look closer.  Have thought if you had to do the $129 donation (purchase) it was more expensive than the $70 spent the other way.  That is the only reason I mentioned it.  Will have to look more closely.  Thanks though.

If you click on the button where it says military working dogs and then go down the page,  you will see where it says that if you know of someone who could use it to email them.  It tells who they have sent them to in the past.  They sent some out as recently as June.

I will let you know if I hear back from them.

I heard from Mikel at Helping Udders and he is sending a cooling vest to Sgt Chisolm for his dog.   This organization is wonderful.

Mikel mailed two cooling vests, extra packs and some toys to Sgt. Chisolm on 7/24/08.  How is that for service?
