SFC Anthony W. Lawrence requests food

Rec'd another e-mail from Tony this morning as follows:

I hate to ask for things but I am wondering if you could send us some of the flavored oatmeal packets and ramen noodles. Each day we go through about 2o packages of oatmeal for breakfast and about 10 bags of ramen at lunch. Microwave pizza gets old after about 3 and it really is not that good for breakfast either. Easy mac never gets old I dont think. Thank you so much for your support. Hope that everything is going good there.
    Tony

SFC Anthony W. Lawrence is a contact for 50&5 with 15 requests since signing up on Feb 16.    Can anyone help with oatmeal & ramen to give these guys some alternatives to MREs?

     Thanks!

    cj/

    Hi CJ,

I just wanted to let you know that I requested Tony Lawrence's address and sent them a box of cookies from TreatAnySoldier.  I will get out some other packages to him next week.

    CJ,

We have oatmeal, canned soup, and ramen on hand, so if the "crick don't rise" any further in our area, a package or more will be going to the PO either Mon. or Tues. - probably 2 boxes on Tues.

I just bought a case of Ramen this week, I'll ship it off to SFC Lawrence on Monday.

    Thanks for sharing the info.

I just discovered that we also have 4 left of the Easy Mac single serve bowls that we will put in also.  They wouldn't fit in a previous box we had sent to someone.

Okay, got the two boxes packed up with the 4 Easy Mac bowls, 12 Ramen cups, 5 cans D.M. beef stew, 45 granola bars, bag flavored pretzel pieces, 3 bags combos, and 3 variety boxes of oatmeal packets.  That's all I could squeeze in that we have in our present stock, except for a lot of love and hugs Wink !

Thanks so much ladies!   They seem very appreciative of something to eat in lieu of MREs.  Don't you just hate it when they're hungry???

I got his e-mail in time to raid my stock and get him another box in today's mail.  I sent 3 dozen oatmeal packets, 2 6-pks raisins, 2 dozen NV granola bars, 8 EZMac cups, a box of cocoa packets, 2 dozen drink mixes and some misc things.  I also sent a cannister of regular quick oats and a note telling him that I use 1/2 cup from that along with a flavored packet and some raisins for my kids they love it so maybe the soldiers will too.  Oatmeal is much cheaper that way, too.  Smile

We sent him some breakfast bars, oatmeal, soups (did not have any DM) crackers and some spoons and bowls(since my soups did not come in micro friendly packages).  I had some extra cereal (the individual boxes) and parmalot, but was not sure if I should send it.  Since it was not an item he ask for. Do you think I should send?

    Hi Mags

I think you should send them the cereal and parmalot.  I feel that anything that we ourselves would enjoy, they will enjoy.  Especially, when you are hungry.  Any food is good.  You are very generous, and I know they will appreciate whatever you send.
