    Free/ Cheap Cigar Deals

I am always watching cause i like to send my guys the occasional ceegar but it's sooo expensive! So i thought maybe I'd start a thread for when we run across great deals?

Here's mine and it's a sweetie! 2 free cigars for $6 shipping. Had to try a few times cause the website is slammed but it eventually worked out for me : )

10% off entire order at cheaphumidors.com until March 25th.

    KOMP-QSA1HQ

I've never tried their cigars, but this is where one of the "nigh indestructible" travel humidors (5 stick Cigar Caddy, made by Otterbox, ordered through Amazon) discussed in the Rugged Humidors thread came from.

    Re: Free/ Cheap Cigar Deals

    Hello ALL!

Cigars.... yup many like to smoke a stogie or two.... especially when it's free! I bet two cigars free for the price of shipping is a good deal! But, want to hear something stupid??? I smoked ciggerettes for ten years (not even long enough to KNOW how to spell the word) and during that time I smoked a pipe (LOVED IT) and cigars off and on. I quit smoking long before I met my LOVELY wife Lynn and ever never looked back. BUT, when I spend my TWO WEEKS in the woods once a year with the guys and girls of my military family AND half or more of them or smoking, I would get a hankering for a cigar. My favorite was Swisher Sweet! I would only smoke one a day or so SOoooo there was no sense mentionning it to my LOVELY wife Lynn!!!!! While I was in Camp Shelby the THREE months trainning for this fun filled adventure ("It's not a JOB, it's an ADVENTURE") I fell in love with a brand called PHILLEYS. They are flavored cigars that were truly pleasant to have in your mouth. The thing I like about them BEST was EVERYTIME when I lit them up, someone would say; "That smells really good!" WITHOUT FAIL!. So, not only was I ENJOYING a great cigar.... but everyone around was enjoying the smell of it! The other neat thing about it was, a pack of five only cost three dollars! Now, that is a lot by a pack of twenty cigerette standards, but when some cigars cost as much as 30.00 dollars (?) it is not bad. And STL is talking about paying six dollars (shipping) for TWO cigars. Hey STL (My other Lynn) take half that shipping and buy me a pack of Phlleys and use the other half for shipping of five instead of two Big Smile!

Seriously, why spend so much on high costing high quality for something that is ooing to be "SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES"? Only the MOST serious of smokers will truly enjoy the high end cigar any way. Go buy a dozen boxes of Swishers and cover more people. Get a dozen boxes of Philleys and make everyone happy with the smell.

The previous view is that of the soldier and not neccesarily held by that of this site. He is truly a nut case to be reckoned with... so if you don't like what he is saying... I RECON you don't have to read anymore.   lol

LOVE ALL OF YOU!! Hope this helps see a less expensive side of giving. Remember... it is not HOW much you gave...... It is not the cost of what you gave....  YOU ARE LOVED "BECAUSE" YOU GAVE!!!

OH, and by the way. I ordered from Thompson's Cigars online. I was not happy with what I got because like I said I like the inexpensive SWEET ones. BUT, my wife saw the bill on my account and Said; "I HOPE you haven't taken up smoking!" I told her I just chew on them. and she told me it was out of "Character" for me. Hey... she said I got Character! I told her I definetly wouldn't bring them home with me and she said OK. She is soooo in love with me.... and I with HER!!!

    Hi!

Read your post about the Phillies and went looking for them on the net, but, not knowing anything about cigars I was totally baffled....  They had banana ones, and cherry ones, and stubs, and.....  Am very confused.  Which ones do you recommend for Marines out in the boonies who like a c-gar???  Help!

    Thanks.

SFC Dunn - Thanks for the suggestions on the Swisher Sweets.  Visited a small, local tobacco shop this weekend looking for the Philleys you suggested.  Came away with the owner's suggestions - he sends to the troops himself by the carton.

Swisher Sweets - blunt and perfecto

    Garcia y Vega Whiffs (natural)

    New York Minute - rum

Parodi - ammezzati (my cigar-loving husband said to skip the bug spray and send these instead - :) scary!!!)

Don't have a clue here myself but the two other cigar smokers in the shop seemed to approve also?  You can fit them all in the USPS 6" cube, they can be smoked on a 10" break, and they're easy on the budget!   Have you tried any of these?  Thanks for the suggestions.

    Ann,

I received a vote for the Garcia y Vega's yesterday from a just-retired Army Reservist who served in Iraq.

Just saw in today's newspaper coupon section an add from Cigars International  www.CigarsIntl.com for "3 Top Cigars (1 each El Major, Graycliff, 5 Vegas) plus free match for the troops".  You order 3 "top hand made cigars" for $5 (plus $1.95 s&h--taxes on it in PA) "instead of the normal $24".  One per customer.  They will match your order with 3 cigars for our troops (I am assuming they send those to some names they already have.).    The code on the add if you can't find it is: SA8136.  Item #SP-CA08.

Just to let you know, Cigars International does ship directly to APOs and FPOs.  I had a bit of a glitch with one order (they shipped to me instead of my contact) but they did fix it and even included extras since they had made the error.  Nice folks.

    Re: Free/ Cheap Cigar Deals

Found this site today.  Get a free cigar for taking a 2 question survey.  They also have 1 cent shipping on first time orders and a buy 5 get 1 free deal. http://www.cigarfox.com/  They do ship APO, FPO but for an additional charge (I think).

Edited 7-30  Got my free cigar from answering my survey question.  It is a Don Diego Anniversary and smells good.  With it came a coupon to get 4 additional free cigars when buying the any five cigar sampler (buy 5 get 1 free deal), so you would actually be buying 5 and getting 5 free! A $25 Savings! Use offer code: F223C (offer expires 9/1/08)

    Re: Free/ Cheap Cigar Deals

In the local J&R shop yesterday I found some good deals on the small "you can smoke em on a ten minute break" type cigars.  Check their site and they have the same stuff there.  Here are some links.  If you go to the main page, just enter your favorite brand in the search box - top left corner.

I've sent a number of packages of these now and have been getting good responses back on all of them:)  This is just one of the brands that makes them so look around.  I usually send a couple of  brands including this one.  They come in individual packs of five as well as boxes of 25 and 50 and are veeerry affordable.  In stores I've seen them for 2-4 dollars for an individual pack of 5 depending on the brand:)

Edit - sorry first link is the wrong one - I'll try to fix it.

Edit 2 - For some reason or another when I bookmark the page with the Garcia Vega Whiffs, then add it here - short version - doesn't work.  SOO - go to main page - the second link here and enter GARCIA VEGA in search box.  That's how I found the page to begin with.  Sorry for the inconvenience folks.
