I just now logged into the forum and the font is really really big (the AS contact list screen looks normal)-- and has a whole new look.

Is it just my computer? I doubt it since I see all the cool links on the side.. but I re-read the posts.. I read the new faster server had been deployed but Somehow missed the new forum look post?

I bet this took endless hours of coding! The most active users list is actuall pretty cool too!

I'm still getting the hang of it, myself -- the only thing I don't like (I find it very distracting) is the tags box -- the fonts are waaaayyy too big and eye-catching for me.

When I tried to post a reply between 7-8 am today, the Forum vanished. 

Now, parts of the messages are gone on my computer, and the lower part of some words and icons are missing.  Is that my horse and buggy computer or are there bugs ?

Not just you.  It totally caught me offguard too. 

Sorry for the HUGE fonts, but still working this. 

Not done yet, we hope to clean up the font size, the huge wasted spaces and a few other issues soon.

Whew!  I'm glad to know you aren't finished yet.  The big spaces are making me nuts, requiring lots more scrolling.  I'm a slow learner, so it will take me awhile to adjust to the changes.  I feel like I can't find anthing yet...

Aren't we all terrible about new things?

I like the unread posts shortcut. Big help as I jump on and off the site. The overall look is rather like Slate Magazine, another favorite on-line place to visit.

Marty -- thanks for your response above about still working on the font sizes, etc. -- I sure didn't mean to sound critical -- I can't even imagine how much work this is to re-vamp.  Must be like Thanks,Mom said -- we don't like change all that much -- till we *get* it

aside from the "size" issue :)

I noticed the color has been fixed back to tan  _ good:)

but I do like the cool links that show on the side like "threads you have not read"-- that helps people like me who are a bit slow

 You know we aren't backing off from using it though  :) too much great reading!!

I've usually just kept myself signed in to the forums and come back every day without entering my password. Good thing I kept the original email with my password as with the new forums I have to enter it each day. Will this be the norm? My password seems to stick for the day, but not for the next day. And yes, I use two different work computers and one home computer, all Dell computers (of different ages and models) running IE 6.0  with Windows XP (professional at work, home version at home). All these toys require me to sign into the forums each day.

The reason it 'remembers' you is 'cookies', which is actually on YOUR computer  :)

Be sure you have cookies enabled.  Use your help menu in IE to find how to do this...

I'm so glad someone else posted about this because for a second there I thought my comp was going crazy!
