    Heartfelt "thank-you" post

1LT Jeremiah L. Griffin posted a beautiful and heartfelt "thanks and God bless" to supporters today (3/24/08).  Something all us junkies should read, I'm thinkin' -- for those times when we're not sure if what we're doing is enough -- if it matters -- if we're making a difference.  Please go on over and read it -- something to remember and hold close.

    Thanks,

    --Marilyn

Thanks for pointing him out. Glad he is coming home. Then I turn and read about a unit of 300 that just arrived :)

That's ok.. just mean our work is not done yet:)

    Have a great day!

Jeremiah is a really remarkable young man!  All the correspondence I've gotten from him has been as heartfelt and genuine as that post.  In one letter I wrote him a couple of months ago, I was telling him about a concert we were planning to go to, and just off-handedly remarked that my husband was taking me to it for my birthday.  Would you believe he paid attention to what day it was going to be and called me to wish me happy birthday??  Unfortunately, I wasn't home and didn't get to talk to him, but I've got a great message on my machine I can go back and listen to now whenever I need a little "pick me up"!

Jeremiah may turn out to be the very first one of "mine" that I actually get to meet in person!  He said he wanted to see us play, and just a few days ago we scheduled a show that's only about an hour from where he lives!  It's not until July, so that'll give him plenty of time to get back and settled--Y'all keep your fingers crossed for me!!  Big Smile

Phillis, my fingers are crossed! Make sure to tell him how much we've enjoyed his posts. Tell him he's "famous" on the Forums!
