    CSM Callaghan,

I'm so sorry that you thought this was a negative post.  I was only teasing and it will not happen again. You are very compassionate to have undertaken this cause to help our very brave recovering warriors.  I know that the families of all these soldiers are grateful for your help to their children.

    Mimi

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic w/the striving & tolerant of the weak & the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these-George Washington Carver

...I truly intend to be respectful of CSM's request to not perpetuate this topic, so topic over... but it's always heart- wrenching when anyone here becomes upset for any reason, so I just want to say {{{HUGS}}} to all.  This forum is a Godsend to all of us for a million different reasons, but one of the detriments we will always suffer from is the inability to hear each other's voices and see each other's faces.  Even though I am not involved with the exchange of words in question, my heart still hurts to see two amazing, caring and generous people get hurt as a result of our limitations.  This thread and this effort mean SO MUCH to us, I know that this little blip in the radar will pass and we'll be back to oggling with amazement over Rock-Star Marilyn's swelling list of items sent, and the joy we feel on both sides watching the numbers grow.

CSM Callaghan, I would like to suggest on behalf of us Junkies, that is it more than appropriate, acceptable and expected from our perspective, if there are specific requests for favorite brands, flavors, colors-from men or women... please don't hesistate to share those with us if you just happen to have that information readily available through word of mouth here or there.  While we know that our primary mission is filling needs, we also desire to provide comfort, and we understand that many times it's that favorite scent, or even that familiar label that brings a tiny piece of home to a warrior's heart.  So, if you do happen to know that something specific might be wanted, please don't hesistate... we are all eager to do whatever we can to help bring those bits of home to our heros.

    Dear CSM Callaghan,

    Just my opinion but:

No such thing as 'overboard' when you are young, injured, in a hospital, along way from home.

Oh, Jerry (I feel the need to call you Jerry at this moment), {{{HUGS}}}.  You are NOT a toad!  While we all have vivid and active imaginations and try as best we can to put ourselves in our heros place to understand what each of you goes through in your repsective roles, the bottom line is that we get that we cannot begin to wrap our brains around the kind of stress you are under.  I'm fairly certain that being the conduit between AS and Wounded Warriors is not your full time job Smile but it COULD be, with all of the coordinating and hauling it requires... heaven knows how you fit everything in to 24 hours each day.  You are more than entitled to all of our rightful shares of stress combined, and like every member of the forum, to speak up if and when you have anything at all that needs to be heard.  We're an open and understanding family, and we respect each other's opinions and feelings (and like family, we hurt each other's feelings sometimes too-it just happens, often without realizing it, so speaking up is the right thing to do!).   So, drop your worries when you log in!

Okay, CSM Callaghan.  Back to regularly scheduled Junkie-hood.

    Command Sargent Major...SIR...

Sir,you didn't get where you are by thinking within the BOX...

Those that have suggested you request to much...well please forward their assnine complaints to me...as a Combat Disabled Marine...am sure I can convince them to mend their ways...can also arrange for them to be moved from their secure postions to a very far forward deployed unit...Interference of this operation "Will Not be Tolerated"...There are 100,000+ of US and and only One of them...

It just has to be an OFFICER ??? They have a tendencey to not like anything that is successful unless it was their idea...To much time on their hands...

"Let No Good Deed, Go Unpunished" !!!!

If you don't ask for these Young Soldiers...Who will ???

"YOU" of all people have to APOLOGIZE to NO ONE...EVER...

The "STRESS" that you are under, not just the AS stuff, but your Operational Commitments...on a Daily basis is more than most people experince in a Life Time...

We at AS are but a Supply Chain (but on a more Caring level) to our WOUNDED
HEROS...If not for YOU we would be unable to know what is needed for"ALL" of them...

For that I am for one so very "GREATFUL"...

    Very Respectfully Submitted...
