Hello, i am new here. I am 29 and live in Oklahoma with my dad. I am a huge supporter of the military. I even have a shirt that says "support our troops" on it. I wear it proudly.  My name is Jessica.  I wanna say Thank you to our current soldiers serving overseas at this moment, thank you for serving and protecting our freedom.  You are our true heroes. 

Away from military support i am a high school grad. c/o 97. I was born and raised in Yuma, Az. I love to write and recieve letters via snail mail.  I love to surf the net, play my gamecube and listen to music. I am a huge wwe wrestling fan.  My fave music is mainly country and christian. I am a church goer, church of christ. 

My mom is currently in the hospital, has had several strokes and heart attacks since Sept. 6, 07. She is ok, dad is with her at the moment, stays with her all day till about 7 or 8pm. 

I work at a sheltered workshop for the mentally challenged. I am a client. i have a disability Mild MR=mental retardation. We do our local Jail laundry, make childrens books, pick up recycled materials w/job coach.  I have been there since 02. I like my bosses alot.  My hours are from 8am-2pm Monday-Friday.  I have a boyfriend who also works there. We got together November 7, 05.  His name is Daniel.

Well, that is all about me for now. Wanna know more, just ask.

 Welcome Jessica. Sounds like you are one busy lady! It's amazing how we get everything done.  So sorry about your mom. I will add her to my prayers. I have only been to Oklahoma once. It was to see my son graduate from boot camp at Ft. Sill. It was in July and it was VERY hot. Keep letting our troops know you care anyway you can.  Diane

Thanks Diane. Yeah i am busy.  You have been here to Okla.? cool. I have been to Lawton before, just passed through. How can i keep letting them know i care? How can i find a way to write them?  Is your son one of our soldiers?  Thanks. for your reply.  :D 

 Yes Jessica he is in Iraq now. His picture is my avatar. You can get the names and addresses of our troops by going to the AnySoldier web site and on the tool bar select "where to send"  you can read about different soldiers and decide who you would like to write to or send a little package. You can even find out who is from Oklahoma by selecting " where group is from" You have to have an email address so that the address will be emailed to you when you decide who you would like to support. If you need help maybe you can get someone at the shelter to assist you or your boyfriend. Everyone on this forum is very helpful also. I have learned a lot and have gotten better at using the computer since joining this forum.    Hugs, Diane

I have tried so many times, they don't support the midwest.  I have wrote to several and no response.  I have done a search. Where we work has nothing to do with the military.  I don't live with boyfriend, he lives with his mom.  I live with my dad. :)  What do you mean get some assistance to help me and him? sorry, little confused.  Anyway. thanks. I live in Southern California.  I joined AS, so that I can reach out and express my gratitude for our men and women in uniform.  My family and friends served past and present, in branches.  I always told myself way before this ever started that whenever I got a chance I would thank our men and women in uniform to let them know how proud I am on them.
