Hey Brit
Sure thing, I think I'll definately send my Dad off to the commissary, and I'll be off into the snack stores of good ole Suffolk lol! Thankyou for your advice I really appreciate it :) & I don't know if there'd be enough flake bars left to send you some...I LOOVE flake bars
I know, I'm so glad I found this site! I am definately excited to help out the people responsible for our liberty, and make a friend at the same time I will most probably be in the Army myself in a couple of years time, so maybe soon I'll be getting flake bars from you lol!
Thanks again, lots of love, Saorse x

Hi Glenn (Marine5), It's an honor to have you here! And thank you for YOUR service and what you do for them now! Because of sites like Anysoldier, the people will never abandon them again either. What happened when you served, I was too young, but I've read and heard and can imagine you haven't been thanked enough yourself. Glad to have you here.

Hi! I'm new here! By Ft. Lewis WA
Howdy all! I just joined the site a few days ago and already have a couple addresses so I can send packages. I am located in Lakewood WA--near the Ft. Lewis and McCHord bases here. We have a strong, supportive community here. I can't thank you enough for putting together this site. I have already shared it with many of my friends.
If you know of someone very very specific who has NO ONE--please, let me know. Some of our millitary --as you all well know-- are alone, with no support, no friends, no family--nothing. Thankfully, they have giving brothers and sisters in their units who share their goodies and gifts, but there's nothing like getting something specifically just for you. So, please feel free to let me know if someone is extra needy.
I am not rich, but my few dollars can make a difference. I am a Nationally Certified Interpreter for the Deaf and love America with all my heart and soul.
So anyway...hellllooooooo!!!! and howdy!!!!!

Welcome to the forum, Stacy! Living near the bases gives you an advantage, I think. You might be able to send support to folks who are your neighbors. Neat!
I keep thinking one of these days I will take a course in sign. I have a small vocabulary, just enough that I've been able to use it a few times when in a situation with a deaf person. I have a friend who has been a missionary in Russia and she knows the Russian version of sign as well as the American. Very interesting!

Joe,
Welcome. And a big THANK YOU for your service. My son is in your "neighborhood" also! We always enjoy posts and insight from those "in the know" of what is needed that might not have been requested yet by the contacts. I look forward to hearing from you. Stay safe Joe.
God Bless, Alison

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question or not but I thought what the heck! I read a post a few days ago about a unit that is wanting baseballs for a team they formed. I was telling my husband about it and he said "oh, I have a whole bag of baseballs, do you want to send them??? Of course I do but now I can't find who it was. And of course, I didn't write down what branch or location or anything that would make it easier to find. I do think I saw it was a new post this week. Just thought maybe someone saw it. Let me know. PS I learned an important lesson about keeping notes for my new addiction!!! Thanks so much

I found it!!! It was Matthew West. My husband played baseball for many years so a huge baseball care package will be going out Monday. Also, I wanted to let you all know that this website has brought me so much joy. Helping others is always been a major focus in my life and this website has given me such a wonderful opportunity. God bless you all. Nicki
