Welcome to all our new recruits!
Your interest and support for our soldiers is very much appreciated by us who have been bridging the gap, the best we can.
So many people are busy with their families and lives that they haven't found out about the conditions that soldiers face. The concensus I get on the street is that they think all things would be taken care of by the government.
It is our duty to correct situations, and to take up the slack wherever we notice it is needed.
Had it not been for Mr and Mrs Horn and their son Brian, many of us would not be informed to the needs of Personel in harms way. Compassion for ones troops is patriotic but compassion for all ISAF troops is creating goodwill.
Marta,
For you I have a beautiful story of Benny Hochman of Loge, Poland. He was in a Concentration Camp during WWII. He was a starving teenager with the number B3156 tattooed on his arm when the GIs freed him. He had been in the camps for over 5 years and survived. The US Army soldiers gave him parts of their uniforms to wear and their C rations to feed him and took care of him. They sponsored him to come to Nebraska after the war to live on a farm. Their compassion has filled his heart for his entire life.
He will tell you that the American GI is the Greatest Soldier in the World.
I will agree that we can make a difference in the world by our actions. The Horns have given us an avenue in which we can show the troops that we care.
I hope your first package is a success. If not, contact me, and I will personally dedicate my attention, to help you find a solution.
To all newbees, Thank You for supporting our troops,
Blessings, door
