Hello to all, My name is Gina and I live in
Baltimore, Ohio, a small town about 30 miles SE of Columbus. I read
about this site in a Guideposts magazine a couple of months ago and
have since become an addict. I work for one of the best rest./ retail
companies, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, and I am also in the
process of starting my own petsitting business.
Many men in my family have been in the military, Dad(Marines),
brother(Army), brother(Air Force), Fiance(Navy). I had been looking for
a way to support the troops when I read the story and was soooo excited
when I saw the website. Now I send letters and packages whenever I can.
In my spare time, I read, spend time with my horses, and scrapbook( I
am also a Creative Memories Consultant). I also try to get the word out
about AnySoldier to just about anyone who will listen. Thanks for giving me a place to be able to show my support and love for the soldiers.
Gina

:) Um, hi. My name is Mead (pronounced "med" as in "medicine"), and I've been playing on anysoldier.com for awhile. I've been in and out of the forums since they started--and just realized this evening that hasn't been that long ago! Sure feels like I've been lurking in these forums longer than I have been!
I live in beautiful Greenville, South Carolina. I work two jobs--one for my bills and one to support my anysoldiers. Yep, I'm serious. Heh. When you're an addict, you're an addict. ;) (There's also a bit of guilt there, too. When my brother was in the Navy, I was still young... And poor Bro. I don't think he received but two or three pieces of mail from the entire family (including our parents) while he was out to sea or stationed in the Middle East. I *know* he never received any care packages. Yep, I'm serious.)
I currently regularly support two troops in the Phillippines and one sailor that's out boat-floating.

My name is Theresa DeLeo, soon to be Theresa Hanson. I am a 26 year old little sister of a Sgt. in the Marine Corps. He is the one that introduced me to this site and I thank him for that. As far as getting to know me, I work too much as an assistant to a real estate agent and I'm also a personal trainer and fitness instructor at the local gym; which is my passion and where I hold my degree. My joy in fitness comes when I get to see how tough I trully am with competing with my brother. Ever since he and his life long friend joined the Marine Corps, I have been as patriotic and supportive as I could be. Though not in all my actions on the day to day, but in my heart I pray for the people that have served and that serve to defend this country and all that it stands for.
My goal is to thank all the Soldier and Warriors I can by writing on this site and sending care packages overseas.
I am looking forward in talking to anyone that needs someone to talk to.
My best,
God Bless Our Troops and Stay Safe,
Theresa

Hi Everyone!
I've been obsessed with this site for roughly a month now and have sent out a few packages. I JUST found the forums which are the greatest thing ever!
I live in Northern Virginia and am a stay at home mom to 3 little ladies and 2 dogs. My husband is former National Guard (HOOAH!) and now works in the IT industry.
Supporting the troops is an honor and the "junkies" on this site astound me with their amazing generosity. I'm humbled to be able to learn from you all and in turn pass these lessons along to my children. We are growing the next crop of patriots here, and they sure have some big shoes to fill!
God bless you all!

Diana75, welcome. Don't worry about your english, it's fine. Proud Soldier struggles with his a bit too. From my perspective, both of you are way ahead of some of our US-born and raised, text-messaging-generation young soldiers, LOL.

Mead, nice to see another Carolina Girl here! We NC/SC junkies have a little network going. If you'd like to join us, just send me a private message as soon as you figure out how to do that.

Hey ya'll! My name is Kaitlin. I live in Pennsylvania. I am 18
years old. I just came upon AnySoldier just a couple of days ago. I
have so many friends over there now. Some just left for their 2nd
deployment and othesr are about to come home from their first.
I'm a military brat. My dad was in the Air Force for 26 years. I have a
huge military family. I have no sent a package yet or a letter for
someone on here but i requested an address yesterday and bought some
stuff to send today. The whole box is filled. I have sent packages to
my friends though. Some of the stories I have read are heart warming. I
love them and cant wait to share my own. Well i guess thats it. I
should start writing to my soldier so i can get the package out
tomorrow. Hope to make some friends out of ya.

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and it's time I introduced myself. My name is Sarah, I'm 30 years old, and I live in Massachusetts (but am originally from Arizona). I found my way to this forum because of my friend who is deployed in Iraq with the Army until next summer. Supporting the troops is important to me, not only because of my friend's situation, but because I come from a military family... my dad met my mother at the Air Force base he was stationed at, and both my brother and I were Air Force brats in our early years!
I've already sent 2 packages to contacts from this site, and will send a couple more in the next week...looks like I'm already addicted!
Bye,
Sarah
