    Sarah,

Where in Massachusetts are you?  I'm originally from Rockland, MA about 15 miles south of Boston.  Two years ago I moved to Fort Mill, SC and can't wait to get back "home" when my townhome sells!

    Re: Introduce yourself!!

Hello.  My name is Lauren and I live in the Bronx, NY.  I recently discovered AnySoldier a few weeks ago, and since then, I've been writing and sending packages and having a great time.   I'm a 28-year-old freelance writer/ eternal grad student.   No kids, just two cats, Yoda and Gollum.

I feel inclined to add that in this time, I have developed a strong affinity for the Bronx Main post office and for Postal Service employees everywhere.    Five days after I sent my first letter, I got an email from the soldier I sent it to in Iraq.  It only took 5 days!   I'm thankful for this wonderful site and for the forums.

Ich Versuch.  I can, but just barely.  I took it in high school.  So I only know it on a basic level.  But I'm trying to learn more though because I'm of German descent.  Es ist Freude.

    Re: Introduce yourself!!

Hello to all!  I have been an anysoldier supporter for about a year but this is the first time that I have been involved in the forum.  I am a busy mother of two daughters, 17 & 12.  I also work with my husband as his office manager, supervising a staff of 10 and the everyday operations of his law office.  Our anysoldier involvement started as a way to have my daughters involved in a worthy cause.  Now, one year later, we are very much addicted!!!  Our first soldiers have returned home safely and we are supporting more.  My very first contact was an Air Force Captain from our home state of Louisiana.  We sported he and his team for about a year.  On July 8th, he and his lovely new bride arrived at our home for a visit.  They spent about 6 hours with us.  It was wonderful!  I told someone, I feel like I am expanding my family, one soldier at a time.  One of the things that I do to get the word out about anysoldier, is to have photos of my soldiers sitting around in my office.  Many times, I am asked, "what's with the military guys?"  It provides good conversation AND gets the word out.  My office staff are always coming in to see what is the latest on my guys.

A big thank you goes to Marty and his family for keeping this organization going.

    Re: Introduce yourself!!

    Hello,

My name is shirley. I am 40 years old and live in the pocono mtns. of pennsylania. I moved here about 5 years ago from Virginia. I am divorced and have one son, who is 21 yrs old. I work in the field of law enforcement and have just been accepted to the police academy. I am interested in writing to a soldier or two , but am not sure how to go about it. If someone could help me on this note.... I would appreciate it. Thank you. Be safe. Walk in peace and good journey.
