Good Food Deals at Amazon.com but read fine print about FREE SHIPPING

A few good deals at amazon.com

ConAgra Brands $25 off orders over $49,  using code SAVESLIM- free shipping BUT read the fine print- FREE shipping ONLY to FPO/APO USA stateside zip codes so have the stuff sent to you then repack and send in FRB's to send to our contacts.

Save $20 when you spend $49 on Kellogg's, Keebler and more again check amazon's free shippping policy to FPO/APO addresses that are not USA based zips.

Both sites have food items that our servicemen and women would enjoy receiving.

Re: Good Food Deals at Amazon.com but read fine print about FREE SHIPPING

    Hi iwojimaseabee ~

I'm a little confused, I just started sending things I bought online straight to the APO/FPO address.

It is my understanding that the APO/FPO are located in San Francisco  (AP) and that they are USA  zipcodes.  The APO/FPO located in New York (AE)  also have US zip codes.

That is why we don't get charged international shipping rates.  We are not sending the boxes oversees, only tto these US sites, where it then is delivered to all the different locations and countries by the military system..

My question is if the packages sent straight from the store are going to be OK when they get to San Francisco or New York, without a customs list.  Or do they have one?

I usually have to call or online chat with these companies I buy from for direct ship to make sure that the entire Military address, names, etc. are correct.

Anyone out there with more experience?

    Kaylynn

    Kaylynn,

I have not had a problem in the past BUT in reading the fine print from Amazon, it now has a list of stuff that is NOT sent to FPO/APO's..grocery items being one of them, perhaps I am reading it incorrrectly but you are so right in giving them a call beforehand.

    Thanks for the info, iwojimaseabee!

Boy, you'd think that these big companies would be stepping all over themselves trying to make it easier to get these things to our soldiers!

    Kaylynn,

Plese do not let that deter youfrom shipping in a large FRB,, get the stuff shipped free to YOU and then rebox in a FRB! OUr guys and gals need you, I think there may be issues of theft, customs, etc. Anyway, this way you are incontrol and can even add some personal touches to the boxes you sendSmile
