No pictures or attachments in posts please

    Folks,

I'm asking that you do not post any pictures or try to add any attachments to the posts on this forum.

On the web, there is always a way around anything, including any restrictions I set.  Problem is, if I allow the pictures, the server will get bloated in no time and far too many people have no clue as to the proper inclusion of pictures in post (ie: small file size = page load in the same lifetime).

I will delete posts that abuse this request and will ban the user if cooperation isn't going to happen.

Really appreciate your help with this, and your continued contributions to this forum.

Guys, this is super easy if you want to share.  Go to www.photobucket.com.  Create yourself an account.  There are a bunch of tutorials on the site, click here, click there, and upload your picture.  Then all you have to do is create a link to AS.com and we can all click on it and see it without bloating up the server.  Sites like photobucket get their money from their advertisers.  If anyone needs help, just shoot me an email and I would be more than happy to help.  And remember...the internet is forever, so don't post anything you are uncomfortable with millions of people seeing.  You never know when you will become famouse and the paparatzzi will be after you.  LOL

I have seen people use photobucket quite a lot in an ebay chat room I frequent.  It works wonderfully well.  There are some other similar type services available that also work, the names of which escape me at the moment....having a CRS moment here....

One thing I would suggest though is if you are using one of these services, there is a place to mark your account "private."  Please remember to do this.  Otherwise, when you post a link to your picture someone can go to your account and basically look at every picture you have stored on the site...not a good thing.  So click that "private" button and have fun sharing your pictures with us as long as it's okay with Marty.

Great advice from Rosemary and Lisa. Another photo hosting site is Flickr. It's very similar to Photobucket. In fact, I have photos on both.
