    Bath & Body Works Sale

Hi everyone, I am a frequent lurker and new poster.

I saw on another board I am on that Bath and Body Works is having a "5 for $10 Anti-Bacterial Hand Soaps & Sanitizers."  I know BBW stuff is pretty popular (too bad it's not the lotions!).  I could not tell from the Bath and Body Works website when this deal expired, but I know it's in-store only and the other board suggested the sale was only for this weekend.

I am going to stock up for my AS packages, particularly on the hand sanitizers.  I hope this is helpful to someone!  (And nice to "meet" you all).

Just wanted to add--sorry if I am posting the original post in the wrong "category."  I'm still getting up to speed on navigating the various threads/topics.

Welcome Jessica!!! What a great sale! I just wanted to drop a hint to double check the label though, many hand sanitizers contain alcohol and are labeled "flammable" so we can't ship them. It's such a bummer, because so many of them are asking for hand sanitizer! Still, I hope you have fun stocking up on yummy soaps!

Hey Jessica!!  Welcome to the AS Forum!!  And don't apologize!!!  I don't care where you post; I'm just glad you're here!  I think they've recently talked about it over at 'CSM Jerry R. Callaghan . . .'  which happens to fall under "Forum Help and Tips" [??]   http://forum.anysoldier.com/forums/t/5417.aspx   Thanks for the tip on B&BW!!  I'm not much of a girly girl so I never really knew how popular their products were until this forum.  I kept giving my Mama-In-Law gift cards to "Bed, Bath & Beyond" until she finally told me, It's the other place with Bath in it's name!  Thanks again for the tip!  I'm definately looking into it for our female Heroes!!

edit:  oops!  Kristen's right!  I keep forgetting about alcohol content; I've never been a sender of hand sanitizer but I am going to start looking into Bath & Body Works thanks to you.

Hey Michelle, you are sooo funny.  I guess your Mama-in-law will now get a gift card for Mom's day to the other place with bath in it.  I already forgot the name, and I just read it--CRS setting inBig Smile again.  Happens all too frequently lately!Confused  I'm an oldie, but goodie, so I just wear my Giorgio colonge these days.  As the years go by, I get a different scent every few decades, tee hee!   But every woman has their favorite perfume.  My sister wears Norelle.  When I doggie sit at her house I can always "smell" her around.  It's great having a signature scent.  My late Mom wore Channel #5, and when a I get a whiff of it on someone now, my memories come flooding back of my lovely, caring Mommy--and I feel like she's back in the room with me.Broken Heart

Anyway, to you, your mama-in-law and all the Mommies on this site, Have a beautiful Mother's Day.

OH!  The power of scent!!  I experience some pretty emotional memories through my sniffer!!  I too am an orphan and the Mama scents are the most heart wrenching for me.  She wore Estee Lauder.  She passed in 03 from West Nile Virus.  My Dad bought my first Chanel #5 when I graduated high school a few months before he passed [28 years ago].  I've only afforded my own purchase once through the years but I still have that first bottle and I still think of Dad when I get a whiff. [ I still have a bottle of High Karate that he wore, but it smells mostly like alcohol.]  I'm a hippie who's into essential oils but I did buy a bottle of Emaraude last year for a fun memory.[that's what old ladies' purses smelt like when I was young].

Mother's Day Blessings to you and everyone!!!

    Dear Michelle,

You know, Wal-Mart sells perfumes cheaper than anywhere else.  So if you live near a Wal-Mart, check it out.  You know when I get a whiff of lobster, I think of my late hubby, because a lot of the times when we would go out to dinner--we got lobster--I ate the tail and he loved sucking the lobster meat out of the shell.  You know, I tell people, you can call me anything you want--just don't call me late for dinnerPizza.  I love when I get invited over for dinner at my sisters, because I don't cook.Smile

An interesting turn to this thread.... I Like it!  My dad smoked filtered cigars (yuk) and I swear, sometimes I smell them in the most random places... I like to think it's him telling me he's still around. Smile  (People clicking on this thread are not going to expect to read about lobsters and cigars LOL).

So I came back to post about the antibacterial soaps I just picked up at B&BW!  THanks for the great tip, I didn't expect to be at the mall, and I never would have known without you!  They didn't have any hand sanitizers, so I didn't have to agonize over not buying them... but I do keep reading the labels on anything called a "sanitizer" in hopes that some day I'll find something not flammable!

    Thanks again!

Re: Bath & Body Works Sale

I too will get back on topic and ask which style of antibacterial soaps would be preferred?  Moisturizing, Deep Cleansing, or Gentle Foaming?  I've been using Walgreen's brand of the foaming and I just think it's kinda fun.  But what I saw was so cool about B&BW today was all the 'flavors' to choose from!  Good Grief!  Sure couldn't say 'one of each' in this instance.

Thanks Mary-Mimi & Kristen for the fun little detour.

Well, I'm all stocked up now on hand soaps!  Now, off to find a contact who is requesting some Smile

I'm still smiling about the bed, bath and beyond gift card!  That's something I would do!
