I got an e-mail from one of my sailor contacts today. He said he felt bad for not getting back to me sooner but that they are super busy. So glad that I thought to check the Bulk folder in my Yahoo e-mail today, instead of just clicking the "Empty" button, b/c that's where his e-mail was!

I have a question as I have Yahoo mail too.  Where is the Bulk folder in Yahoo?  Is that the Spam folder?

    If you look on the left hand side of Yahoo e-mail, you'll see the folders "Inbox", "Draft", "Sent", "Bulk", "Trash". I call the "Bulk" folder the Spam folder. If you are, however, in the Inbox and then use the Spam button to mark an e-mail as such, that e-mail will go into the Trash folder.

     Anyway, today I found the sailor's e-mail in the Bulk folder as well as one of my friends' e-mail in there. It was kinda strange, b/c my friend e-mails me all the time, and yet his e-mail went into the Bulk folder today. So, like I said, it was a good thing I thought to check that folder today.

You must have the more recent Yahoo e-mail, where yours' says "Bulk", mine says "Spam".  I once downloaded the later version but it slowed my computer down, so I removed it.  Same thing when I downloaded the AnySoldier toolbar, it slowed my computer down.  Sometimes technology is a great thing, and sometimes not.

Yahoo has been acting kind of strange lately.  One of my friends who I e-mail back and forth with, and she lives only 10 minutes from me--she will tell me she sent me an e-mail at a certain time, and it shows up that she sent it hours later.  Go figure---

It's great that you found the sailor's e-mail, you certainly wouldn't have wanted that to disappear as it warms the heart when you hear from them.

I just got my first email from a soldier! It was in the "junk" folder, not sure why. But he was telling me that my letter had a "sweet scent" to it. I always put on body spray in the morning, but all the letters I wrote had been in the evening. It's crazy how that scent stayed with my letter. :)

Mimi - OK, I only just realized today that I was using Yahoo Classic (and I was using Netscape until the banks wouldn't let me log on with it anymore). I switched to the New Yahoo Mail and realized we're talking about the same folder -- the bulk folder in the old one is the spam folder in the new one. lol.

Yeah!  It's such a high when you hear from your contacts.  You get all pumped up again.

I think I started using the new yahoo mail when a friend of mine was IMing me and everything got all screwed up.  I think that's when she changed me to the new yahoo.  I have optimum on-line.  You must too if you were using Netscape.  I like the Yahoo mail site better than the optonline mail site.

The old World War II planes are flying over my apartment complex now as I write this.  I am about 2 miles from Republic Airport which is where the "Blue Angel's" and the WWII planes are flying out of, over to Jones Beach to do their Air Show.  Last year, the Blue Angels were taking off from Republic and landing as I was working at the Home Depot at the garden registers, right next to Republic.  Sounded like the whole building was going to collapse.
