    Boxers vs. Briefs?

So who would have thought this would cause such a dilemma?  I hear its greatly needed over there; though I must admit that shopping for someone else's underwear seems a little odd...

What are safe sizes to send?  Boxers or briefs?

I send boxers (whatever style I find on sale). I send large or extra-large unless I hear from a contact who requests another size.

An excellent question! Boxers is what seems to be preferred by most soldiers, though you can not forgot about boxer briefs either, for those that want to um..."secure" their "stuff" a little more than others.

I prefer boxer briefs as sometimes I chafe and that is simply what is needed to remedy the situation.

Best sizes would be medium, large and xlarge.  I wear mediums and would like to say that is the average for my platoon, but it may be half medium and half large.

I passed up a great deal on flannel boxers at Kohl's, I was afraid they would be way too hot, especially this time of year.

Thanks for the info OIFVET08!  very helpful for enlightened shopping

    Boxer briefs

    Bumping up.

WalMart had value packs of Hanes boxer briefs--6 pairs for about $10. (also some packs with 5.) You have to avoid the heather colored ones because they aren't all cotton. In my store there were some in the regular place and some in the middle of another aisle.

    Re: Boxer briefs

    Mellie,

Thanks for the heads up.  I headed to my local WalMart after work and got my guys some underwear.  At my store they were packs of 5 pairs - they were marked as being on sale for $8.50, but at the register they rang up at $8.00.  Thanks, too for the heads up about the heather colored ones - I might have missed that otherwise.

    Re: Boxer briefs all cotton?

I am gathering that means they should be all cotton.  I had never thought about it, but nyon would be hot!  Flannel type would be good in winter, if I find them on sale I will stock up.  I am learning what items are need and am so surprized at some of them, I would never had thought of these things!
