    Cool Ties/Scarf - $1.79ea @ Heat Relief Depot

If you're interested in making your own cool ties, there's lots of GREAT information in the non-food part of the forum, but I thought that I would post this here for all of us who do not sew. . . .I have not found a lower price than this.

Heat Relief Depot now has them for $1.79 each You can see them by clicking HERE or go to www.heatreliefdepot.com If you're ordering 100 or more, contact them for special pricing.  They only ship UPS, so no APO/FPO.

Keep our troops cool with the MiraCool Camouflage Neck Bandana! Just soak in cold water to activate the advanced polymer cooling crystals. Can be used over and over again.

NOTE: THIS SPECIAL PRICE IS RESERVED FOR PURCHASING FOR OUR SOLDIERS. IF YOU ARE SENDING THESE TO OUR SOLDIERS...YOU QUALIFY!!!

MiraCool Cooling Crystals encased within the 100% cotton fabric absorb and hold up to 1000 times their weight in cool refreshing water. MiraCool Crystals work in combination with the evaporation process. When worn against head, neck or body, cooling sensations are passed to pulse points and carried throughout the body.

I ordered these for my son and some of my other contacts. They gave me a further discount when they were informed where I was sending them. I agree they were a great price, I haven't tried them so I don't know how well they work. I will wait for some feedback before ordering more. Boy it was hot today at the shore and the ocean was still too cold except for those hearty souls  brave enough to immerse themselves. I was thinking about my son and the others in the oppressive heat.

Cool ties work!  I live where we average about 95 in the summer.  We've already been up to 105 already.  I wear a cool tie often...even when just sitting about the house!  Allows me to give the air conditioner a break and feel comfortable at about 84 inside with just a fan, and even in my car in which the air conditioner doesn't work!  Try it yourself and be a believer!

Thanks Debbie I guess I'll keep one for myself. I should have tried one today, But it's supposed to be in the 90's for the next several days so I'll still be able to "test" them

That is a great price.  These things do get pretty nasty if you're wearing them every day so I don't think it would hurt to send extras as replacements.

Has anyone tried the heavy duty ones where the polymer is woven in (as opposed to crystals inside)? Would that be flamable?

Sue, I guess that depends where your troops are. I send Khaki and desert to Iraq and Astan. I think they wear "jungle" uniforms elsewhere. Maybe the Philippines? Diane
