It's a game!  Called...Stretch the bucks!  LOL.  I like that the buyers don't have to use gas or even hassle with the PO to send them...FREE if done by the 15th and purchase $50 worth of stuff!  One call or online and you're done...  Hope others can help...  I'm neck-high in other $ commitments at the moment.  But thanks for your acknowledgement!  You made me smile.

Deb:  I HATE you. . . I HATE you. . . I HATE you!!!!  You should have WARNED us that there's a CANDY SHOPPE tab at the top of the Miles Kimball page and to STAY AWAY from there!!!!!  You KNOW I just HAD to click on it. . . and what pops up???  Only the most delicious fudge in the world!  I LOVE fudge!!!  There's nuts. . . and swirls. . . and pink. . . and green. . . and gooey. . . and need I say more?????  Stick out tongue   Yes, I know we can't send it to Iraq and Afghanistan right now. . but I'm thinking of ME!!!!  LOL

Ok. . . Sorry.  .. I know. . . I'm "off topic". . .  But . . . FYI. .  I've been looking for this guy since day one.  I can tell you where he graduated medical school. . . and I might have even found a picture. . . and I've been "asking around". .  .. but thus far I haven't actually tracked him down.  I could "make some phone calls", but I think that's going a little too far. . . but. . if I find out anything, I will be sure and post it.

Dolores M Lerschen, a field surgical unit in a hot zone could use a coffee pot, snacks, Cheer detergent, dryer sheets, notebooks and pens, etc.

    Re: Medical Units

I thought that I had ordered 5 eggcrate twins from MilesKimbal on 6/12. It gave me a confirmation number, but I never got the e-mail they said that they would send. So today, I looked on the recent activity on my credit card that I used and it wasn't on there. So I got on line and ordered the same again. This time I did not get a confirmation number and the address for Brett was missing some information. So I called the 800 number and they actually had the correct address. She said it would take 2-6 weeks to get there and she "guessed" that they would get them. So, he may get 5, 10 or none.

    Re: Medical Units

In tomorrow's outgoing mail, I'll be sending Brett 2 egg crates, 8 medium Tee shirts, 8 large sunscreen (SPF 50) lotions and some filler washclothes.  Just hope that the egg crates don't bust open the box.  I taped the bejeezes out of it.  The entire outside is tape!

    Re: Medical Units

Holy smokes, Matt!  You are supposed to be receiving packages not sending them...Didn't you get the memo???  LOL  Actually, if you do send a package, you may find out what the rest of us junkies know, that it is an incredible rush to send support...  You will learn how really selfish we are in doing it for the rush and the love we send...LOL...  It feels sooooo goood!  Our secret will be out!  If you tell your troops over there the truth then we'll have to find a spot for you with Jimmy Hoffa...LOL  What a Sweetheart you are!!!  How lucky we are to be blessed with your presence on the forum and serving for us over there!  Take care.

    Re: Medical Units

    Hi!

I received an e-mail from Brett Anderson in Afghanistan today after he got my first package. I suggested that if he has time, he should post on the forum so we can find out his immediate needs and ask questions/give feedback like we do with Jerry Callaghan. It took about 10 days for my stuff to get to him, I think.

Good job junkies!  Brett Anderson, forward medical Afghanistan, posted today.  He has enough eggcrate pads, and enough feminine hygiene supplies at this time.  They can still use other items.
