    Re: Cpl Adam Laman's mother

    Hello James,

I will call and see if the Marine Liaison office there has a new address for him.  It is Pacific time here, so I'm not sure if I will get through today.  I am sorry to hear that the package was returned, but I am glad to know that you are still thinking of him...

    Thank you very much,

    Kaylynn Cool

    Kaylynn,

Thank you,  and no hurry.  It is probably better that he gets the box later than earlier because the buzz may have diminished a bit from a month ago.  I had water pistols and nerf slingshots in the package,  among other things.

    Best Wishes,

    JLM

Hi, everyone -- thought you'd like to know that Lt Ronald Briley updated today (8/29/08).  He says that

"Cpl Laman is doing well. A huge THANKS for all you've done to facilitate his speedy recovery. None of us could do it alone. He needs support now more than ever and you guys took the reins so he didn't have to travel down that road alone. What can I say except I'm humbled by the countless number of things you do to show we are appreciated."

    Smile Yes

    Re: Cpl Adam Laman's mother

Great news from Lt. Briley!  Will the real Carol O. please stand up, please stand up...!  (OK, my attempt at Eminem's Slim Shady)  Seriously, what a wonderful person you are to write Lt.  Briley so consistently.  Proof positive that you can really make a difference in those soldier's lives.

James, sorry, I completely forgot about the address update.  When I called them, I had to talk to three people.  None of them would say that they knew his name.  Very different from last time.  They wouldn't even say if he was there!  The final person I talked to said to send his mail to:

    Attn: Cpl. Adam Laman
    Marine Liaison (NNMC)
    8901 Wisconsin Ave.
    Bethesda, Maryland  20889

That is the exact address that I had before.  Is this the one you used, James?   Lt. Briley does say that he needs our support more than ever!  I'm going to read back in this thread and see what address she said to use...

    Cpl Adam Lamon's address

    Kaylyyn,

Thanks for the address.  I have a good memory,  it's just that it is short.

The address I used was;  Walter Reed Hospital

                                         6900 Georgia Ave.

                                         Washington,  D.C.

    Re: Cpl Adam Laman's address

Hello everybody. With the help of our old friend George, I was able to obtain a current address for CPL Laman:

    Attn: CPL Adam Laman
    Malogne House
6900 Georgia Ave NW Bld 20
    Washington, DC 20307

The link below is a pretty amazing story about CPL Laman. It is a little long but well worth the read!

    Re: Cpl Adam Laman's address

I sent Cpl Laman a pkg with a card and several (comedy) DVDs almost a month ago, using the Marine Liason address given here previously. I didn't get the package back, so I can only suppose he got it.
