Where did you get the mosquito netting?  The "beans & bullet" guys had requested some also.

    Hello,

This spring I mailed mosquito netting to Camp Fiaz (Afghanistan)  I ordered it from Armynavyshop.com  The mosquito netting was "military type" (catalog #rc8088) - I paid for 10 yards x 60"? $40.00  I also sent duct tape "military type" (Catalog#rc8228) - it was $10.00  I had them ship it directly to the APO and that was $15.00  Our guys received it in good condition and short time.  They were happy with it.  Hope this is of some help.

Last year I got a bunch of 'head nets' when one of my guys requested them.  They slept out alot and these kept bugs from ard their heads and let them rest a little better.  I got them at WalMart, as I recall they were about $ 4 ea.   Very light to ship too.

Hi! I have had a request for sheets for the guys with Jonathan Kane and Kirk Calvert. Has anyone else sent sheets or pillows? I am sending 4 twin sheet sets, 2 twin fitted sheets, 2 extra pillowcases and 4 pillows. I washed them first, since they can't do laundry at their location.

Also, i know this has been posted before-but if anyone wants to send gun cleaning kits, check at Operation Boresnake, they are an awesome organization!

    Have a great weekend!

    Hi Jo Big Smile

I sent a set of Incredible Hulk sheets on 8/28 to Calvert (with some tshirts, socks, boxer briefs and various hygiene stuffs). I have another sheet set looking for a home (just blue, I'm outta superheroesStick out tongue) That'll make 2 total sets. I have some flip flops in a box to mail to him anyway on Monday so I'll re-pack....  Shelly

    Hey Shelly,

Jose Arroyo has a 50 day notice on his name.  Can you e-mail him to let him know to update AnySoldier?  Thanks.

I have 2 sheet sets I can get to Jonathan Kane.  I'll need to pick up some pillows and wash everything first, so I won't get it out until the end of the week (big bad event week at work :o).  I keep waiting for those wonderful microfiber blankets to go on sale at Target, they're $30 regularly and the went on sale for $12 last year, I sent a bunch to the KOP.  They're twin size, not just throws and oh-so-warm!  I hope I hope I hope!

Jonathan Kane has a new post up this morning!!!! Woooo Hoooo!!!!  What a relief!!  I don't have any concept of how long it takes for a post to go up from the time it's sent by the contact until the staff can get through all the work it takes to get it up on their contact page, but it still makes me feel optomistic that Jonathan sounds so upbeat, and was able to post.  I know we can never "relax," but I'm just so happy to hear from him.

    Yeaaaahhhhh Kristen,

Jonathan Kane has a post up and so does Jose Arroyo.  I think it takes 1 day for AnySoldier to post once they receive from the soldiers.

It's great to hear from both of them.

They, and their families, are all constantly on my mind and in my heart.

We are praying for all of you.  God Bless the USA.

I talked to my boy Chris late last night, for the most part everyone is okay at his outpost. He is on his way home for a bit of R&R can't wait to give him a big hug.

Apparently though, they are hungry. Unfortunately their food supply is very low, they have just had some chicken and dumpling MRE's for the past week and it has been a tough one.  I am going to pack a big box of food to send out, maybe it will get there quickly.

Oh, No!  That's terrible! Sad  We'll have to get on that right away.  I wish we could call Dominoes... thinking of them hungry tonight makes it seem like agony for a box to take a few weeks to get there...  Jonathan said in his post that they had enough snacks to share a little with the Afghan Army so that is good, I guess we should focus on meal stuff like macncheese and stuff.  Ugh, I wish I could go there and just make a big tray of lasagna or something...

I am getting together my next boxes for Chris and Jonathan's group.  I'll have to make sure I send meal type food.
