    airbornedocmom Hello!

    Here is a province map:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Afghanistan_provinces_numbered.png

and a district map of the province:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konar_Province

You can also get a sat. map of Korengal Valley area by typing in Korengal Valley, Afghanistan on a Google Map search engine.

    I hope this helps, door

You will get many "I agree with Diana" s.   lol      Fan Club?   My dear, we owe you, your comrades, and all your family and friends a debt we will never be able to fully repay.  Some of us are family of deployed warriors, some are former military families, some have no direct connections, but all care dearly and want all of you to never doubt there are people that know the sacrifices you all make for the benefit of all of us.    We have a good time, too.   We really are a lot of caring fun loving people.   So, yes keep in touch with "your fan club".

Hey, I haven't heard anything lately, but there was some trouble with the USB virus for a while, and they limited downloading pictures with flash drives, or directly through the USB ports.    You might want to check all that out before you leave.     We're getting pictures, now; but, it's one of those things you might need to check.

My email is sally11b@gmail.com, so just send me a message with any questions or anything you have.

Restrepo and the Korengal Valley are in the news again-TIME magazine

    http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1890204_1866713,00.html  photographs

    http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1890243-2,00.html  article

got a chuckle out of one of the photo descriptions: "The outpost is provisioned with items found in many US supermarkets, like Mountain Dew, Marlboros and Chips Ahoy cookies"

HAHAHAHAHA, provisioned by who? the Army? HAHAHAHA! more like care packages from the US and AnySoldier! LMAO
