Saw the pink boxer story on CNN at a local McDonalds... it caught the attention of all the visitors... had the opportunity to spread the word a bit about any soldier inc!  YEAH!

Met a couple of veterans who then shared stories! NICE!

Had some promises for donations to my Troops Package Project at the flea market a block from the McDonald's! -- here's hoping they follow through.

    ENJOY!

I think that the boxer story was meant to be.  After all 9/11 happened in New York!

Number 10 is a great photo of the outpost. I wish we could  show this to many people who just don't understand.

     Thanks for sharing this find

    Cheers,

    Hello Bob!

I found a variety of suppliers of Service Flags at the bottom of the Gold Star Mothers Inc page at this link:

    http://www.goldstarmoms.com/Common/SiteMap.htm

You will have to contact them for availablity and size of flags. Let me know what information you find?

    Take care, door

We do not charge the families of fallen soldiers for gold star flags or gold star static cling decals.  We work with the national chapter of the Blue Star Mothers to present and provide these items at no cost to immediate family members of fallen heroes.

If you have a need for a Gold Star Service Flag, please email us at sales@serviceflags.com.  We can also be reached at 1-866-887-6678.

Please provide the name of the fallen service member, the date and location of the event, the names of the persons who will receive the flag(s) and their relationship to the fallen service member.  If the family has multiple members serving, we will also need to know the number of other stars for the flag.

If the flag will be presented to the family member by a Blue Star or Gold Star Mother, please provide the name of the person presenting the flag  and the address we need to ship it to.  If it will be presented at a memorial service, please provide the date of the Service.

In all cases, we prefer to ship these to a member of the Blue Star Mothers or casualty assistance officer for presentation to the family and will coordinate with the Blue Star Mothers liaison to try to minimize duplication of efforts.  If a Blue Star Mother or casualty assistance officer is not available to present the flag, we will ship directly to the family.

    Hope this helps.

Just FYI, I had gotten Bob's address and wrote to serviceflags.com asking them to send him a Gold Star Flag almost six weeks ago.  I was disappointed to see he had not received it.  Maybe they'll respond better to a direct request.  <sigh>

    Re: Korengal Valley, Afghanistan -

Does anyone know if the Viper Co. has given the AnySoldier contact information to the new guys yet?  Does anyone know of them?  Time to pick up the new guys in that terrible place...they'll need our support, too.

Kaylynn, you asked what I was wondering about.  I hope someone can help us find the new guys going to Restrepo and their address.

I have told my son to pass on the information to the new guys.  I am hoping one of the contacts will sit them down and pass on the information as well.
