    Hi, Mimi,

The news said there were several aftershocks, but only one of them was strong enough to be felt at all.  We're fine.

High-rises probably take longer to stop shaking completely.  I definitely had a good grip on the edge of the desk while we rocked and rolled.  This was my third earthquake in as many different high-rises, but this one was the rocking-est so far.

Hope everyone is ok.  For those of you that do live near the fault line (or anyone that is interested in disaster planning for yourself and family) here is the Department of Homeland Security website that contains information on what to have on hand in the event of a disaster.

A good source of emergency kits is www.beprepared.com.  There is also www.thereadystore.com.

I know Anaheim and Fullerton very well.  I lived in Anaheim and went to college in Fullerton and worked in Fullerton.

Earthquakes don't really scare me, but I haven't been at the center of a very big one.  My sister wasn't afraid until she experienced one that was close to her home.  She said it changed her perspective on earthquakes.
