    Re: Walgreens Deals

Walgreens has men's Nivea body wash and Crest toothpaste free after rebate right now - as of 2 Sept. And they have 14 oz M&Ms 4/$10 with a $5 rebate. I'm ready to send chocolate when it cools off!

Their rebates are so easy to do!

Yeah - we have our rebate form filled out for those 3 items already!  Gives us a few dollars and a few items to begin a box.

I will be glad to be in an area with a Walgreen's and CVS for most of the winter.  Have you tried the on line rebate for Walgreen's?  I was going to last month - then discovered that my receipt was missing.  Oh well...  I

I know that the on line form has a space for the code number listed on the receipt.  If I happen to buy rebate items at different times, hence have more than one receipt - will it allow me to enter multiple receipt codes?  (I have the gift card form of the rebate - I think there is an extra 10% for doing it that way.  The new rebate can just be added to the card.  Another feature of modern technology!

    Dorothy,

You are ahead of me because I tried to do the online rebate and couldn't even find where I was supposed to do it.  I guess you have to first register?

There is a link somewhere near the middle of the Walgreen.com home page - called Easy Saver.  When you click on the link, on the new page there is another link that says something like "claim rebate".  Yes, I think you have to register.  (Keeping track of passwords kind of drives me nuts! I have probably set a record for the number of times I have to click on the "forgot password" link of different sites.  But I digress.)

    Re: Walgreens Deals

Dorothy, there are limits (per person/address) on the rebate items, so you need to check the form.

Gran, once you get registered on the site, the rebate process is quite easy. Did you find the EasySaver link?

    Re: Walgreens Deals

I knew I could not get more than one of the same item - but sometimes I go back and get a different item I missed the first time (thus a second receipt).  But I will cross that bridge when I get to it!

I just checked my e-mail and there is a printable coupon for Walgreens - $10 off on a minimum $40 purchase, Friday and Saturday.   It says to redeem at your local Walgreens but does not specify a location.   I will not be able to use it.  I have no clue if it could be printed and used by more than one person.  If someone is pretty sure you can use it, let me know here or by e-mail (identify yourself, please, in the subject space).  I will be gone for a while but will check later tonight.

There are exclusions - tobacco, liquor, postage stamps, prescriptions, gift cards - and a few others.  The $40 is after other coupons are discounted.

Hi, this is Sheila. You can put more than one receipt in. I used it for the first time the other day so I can't tell you much info. It does say that you can enter all the reciepts you want but can only file for the rebates once a month per household so don't file it until you have everything you want a rebate on listed. It will hold your information though until you are ready to file. So you can list a receipt the first week then go back and do another the next week and so on and then we you have all you are going to buy you click on the link to pick the items you want a rebate for and then file. It will then send you an e-mail to let you know  how to check the status of your rebate. Hope that helps you. I am still new at this myself.

    Re: Walgreens Deals

    Hi all

I just got back from Walgreens, and while waiting for my husband, I wandered over to the Halloween area. They have those cardboard witches, ghouls, pumpkins, etc that fold out to hang up 2 for a dollar. They are lttle, but might be just right for tight quarters. Also picked up some plastic tumblers 4 for a dollar and a package of paper candy bags to stuff them with for 99 cents.  I got enough to supply my two little groups for cheap! They had these great mini pumpkins like the kids used to use for trick-or-treating for 3 for a dollar, that I was going to get but saw the tumblers and I can get more candy in those!

FYI - I finally got everything together and tried the on-line rebate redemption for Walgreens.  The form was pretty easy to do,.  Since I had a previous gift card, I filled in that card number to get the extra 10%.   Three days later I got an e-mail saying the process had been completed.  Now I can go spend my money on the October specials - not sure yet what they are.

I must say, however, Walgreens is one of my most frustrating shopping spots.  They are so often out of advertised items, and items can be hard to find.  What I will put up with for good deals LOL!

    Re: Walgreens Deals

Do you have any Schick coupons for 2.00? If you do there is coupon in the ES for 2.00 and it makes them 2.99 for a 10 pack. If you have any guys who like candy corn there was a dollar coupon in the paper and a dollar coupon in the ES plus they were on sale 2 for 3, ended up being 1.00 for 2 bags. Mens Gillette shampoo is 2/10 if you have 2 of the 2.00 coupons  you can get them for 6.00 with a 5.00 rebate, ends up 1.00 for 2. Or you can take your 2 coupons to CVS where the shampoo is 2/9 - your 2 coupons= 5.00 and you get 2ECB = 1.50 each bottle. At walgreens they have the energy shot 2 pack 3.99 with 3.99 rebate. If you have any women you can get $5 worth of "pink" cancer products and get $5 in RR from Revlon. Not sure what all. CVS has but walgreens also has a coupon for 1.00 off oral B indicator toothbrush and there was one for 75 cents in the paper so it comes to around 50 cents.

I agree! It's like going on a scavenger hunt when you go looking for their ad item, lol! Glad you got those rebates done!

    Re: Walgreens Deals

Well, it took two tries, but I finally completed our first online rebate form.  The first time, I had forgotten that we got two items on one receipt, so forgot to check four instead of 3 rebate items.  I immediately redid it, thinking that since I had already done the claim the rebate now that they wouldn't allow the 4th item, but they did.  In the confirmation email they did recognize the 2nd attempt - whew!  That was a $5 rebate item, too!  Now I'm an ole pro - LOL!  It was almost $18 toward another pkg.

We also find it frustrating to get some of the items on the rebate form, but we found out from one of our smaller store employees - the cosmetics counter clerk (very helpful), that they have one customer that comes in shopping for his family every month and buys out some of their rebate specials leaving their shelves bare at times; however, between the two stores that are on either side of us, much of the time we can find what we need to get if we keep checking.  The helpful clerk always keeps coupons handy on the items that they have specials on, and does everything in her reach to help us get good deals, and always announces to anyone within ear shot that we are buying for the troops.

    Re: Walgreens Deals

I'm glad you made it through the online process, Gran.  I have been doing the catalogs for years and just last month realized I could apply for the rebate online.  It was great!  I love it that they will "hold" the information and that you can add receipts as you purchase the items.  It was nice saving the stamp.  I always put the rebate on a Walgreens card to get the additional percentage of savings.  The best thing is when I can combine one of the $5 off a $20 purchase coupons with buying the stuff that is free with the rebate.  Anyone who has access to a Walgreens should register to receive these helpful coupons.

It is frustrating when a store is out of one of the products that is free with the rebate.  We have three different stores in town and this past month ALL of them were out of the bodywash.  I kept checking back all month and they never had any on the shelves.  Bummer!  All three stores do have very helpful clerks and I've learned to grab one of them if I can't easily find one of the items and they are great about helping me locate them.
