I will have them ready for mail by tuesday. Sorry, I got sick today, and haven't done a single thing.

    Hi Lisa and all,

Received my cards back from Shutterly today. Will print out letters to stick in all the cards to send out to you for a quick turnaround. I don't think I would have enough time to write out 50 notes so will copy a letter 50 times to put in each 50 cards address written inside the card and outside envelope. Is there anything else I need to know please let me know. I am hoping to mail these out to you tomorrow. Any suggestions or comments will be helpful.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and mimmi my guardian angel (LOL). Thanks for all your support and taking a newbie under your wing.

Lisa - just an FYI that I put my cards in the mail to you today.  It's amazing how much you can do on a wet Saturday when you're "stuck" inside and need something to help keep you awake until 2 am watching the Phillies in the world series!  Indifferent

Card Swap #5 - Mine are postal!!!!!

My cards went postal today! WHEW that felt good to have them done. I got the cards themselves done so early I kept telling myself I "only" had to write inside them. The poem I wrote was a little long for 50 copies! Live and learn...

When my hand would cramp, I would repeat my mantra: "I am at home and warm and dry, I am at home and warm and dry..." Our men and women deserve so much more than a little card from me, all that they put up with is nothing compared to a little hand cramping. (Though I hope they can still read the last ones...my writing got a bit funky!)

    Lisa,

mailed out my cards today. $9.80 for flate rate to Alaska Yeah!!!!!. With the letters inside the x-mas card I couldn't put it in a small envelope. Got on to let you know.

So are you sure you don't want me to send you a check out to you for you sending them back to the group? Or a nick nack, a gift card of some sort you could use. I don't know what stores and such are by you. Please let me know when the cards arrive. Appreciate it. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. You are definately going to be a busy bee!

Gotta Run! Ran out of custom forms for the boxes to go out the the troops. Take care.

    Thanks,

    Danielle

Nah, Sweetie, not yet, but thank you.  Not all the ones coming in are thick, some (including mine) are post cards.  We will see how thick things turn out.  For now I am good.  Now if you really want to send something, how about an extra bag of oreos to your favorites.  LOL

Hugs to all.  Got a bunch more boxes in but have not opened them all.  LOL some of them have real name on the, oh my I don't know who they are.  No one told me I might be confused.

LOL, nope I was just being funny.  People are using their real names on their packages and I am having to go back through posts and emails to make sure I have the right person.Confused  Too much fun going on at my house the next 2 weeks.  My niece's baby shower is next Saturday so I am working on her diaper cake too.  Right now it looks like someone dropped a pink pile of baby stuff on a table.  I am thinking of putting an alaska flag on top and calling it good.  <sigh>  ROFL

Have about 12 so far, yeah I finally got mine done (with Bo's help--I so feel like I cheated).  Will get the list updated this weekend again.  I have the 13th off to turn them all around and get them out, so no slippages.  It is the only way to get them back to you guys in time for them to go in your boxes and out to our troops in time for Christmas.  Please think of getting your cards in the mail to me NLT next Wednesday, November 5.  Please remember that November 11th is Veterans day, so the mail will be a bit slow.

    Hugs to all.

My cards will be in the mail tomorrow (Sat).   I had really thought I'd get them out to you earlier in the week.........but you know how things go!!!    I hand wrote the Santa letter (and my letter).   I was gonna write them all out 100 times.......and will let you all know that there was no way my hand would have made it 200 letters later (mine and the Santa ones).   So, I cheated a bit and copied them at Staples.   They're all on Holiday type paper.   I am now just stamping the envelopes with snowflakes, etc.........I think I've inked myself alot tooo   Confused    It has been fun, and I hope no one is disappointed with a copied letter.........it really doesn't look copied though.    Of course I didn't seal the envelopes, but when everyone gets theirs, please seal the envelopes from me........so that the stamped image on the back will look good once it is sealed........THANKS TO EVERYONE..............esp. Lisa for taking on such a project so close to Christmas.

Sent the cards in the mail today. My coworker and her "kids and old folks" did all 50 cards. They fit in a flat rate envelope...Yeah!  Not really decorated all that much, but the sentiment is cute.

    Can't wait to see everyones!

One last thing and then my cards will be heading out.. this is my first swap so forgive the "newbie" question - I know I don't address the outside since they will be swapped around.. but do I put a return address on the outside of the envelope?

    Hey Shelly,

Yes, you can put the address on the outside of the envelope.  Or if you have room, you can put it in your card or back of card.  And don't forget to put your e-mail address.  A lot of the contacts like to e-mail you back.

You will be so glad you joined the card swap when you get your swapped cards back.  And you are not a newbie anymore, you are an AnySoldier "junkie" and you are family.

    Love,

    Mimi
