    Lisa,

    My cards went out this afternoon, Priority, in what else but a FRB (it was cheaper than a padded envelope).  I meant to put a note in to you, but in the excitement of two kids and a long line at the PO, I forgot the note...Stick out tongue...the nice lady at the PO said they should get to you on Friday or Saturday.  My fingers are crossed...

    Thanks,

    Lisa, don't mean to be a pest, but my name is only on  the list once, so does that mean you didn't get my second set?  sorry, just feeling a little insecure as that set has been in the mail for over a week now.  Lynne B.

    I was sweating it too because mine took more than two weeks to get there.  I mailed it first class because there was lots of time.

    LOL Junkies we will dance!  Lynne B...both your packages have arrived.  I should have put a x2 behind your name, sorry I was remiss.  I should have remembered how my stomach tied in knots waiting for word.  Me too on the post office.  I have a lady that told me I can't put extra tape on them until they are sure it can hold with the tape provided.  Yikes.  So I am taking a roll of tape to the PO with me next week.  I ordered 60 FREs about 2 weeks ago and don't have them yet.

     BTW....WHO IS STARTING THE CARD SWAP FOR VALENTINES DAY!Broken Heart

    Will we have time for a Valentine's one with everyone so busy we the holidays?  How about the next one being Easter/Spring?  Easter is April 12th.  So would cards have to be to the hostess by March 1st in order to be back by March 15, thereby giving swappers time to get them to the bases and FOBs (a month to account for mail time)?  Do we need to set a minimum-maximum limit on the number of participants?  I would be willing to act as hostess for this one.

     If someone else wants to try a Valentine's Day one, step right up.  Lynne

    well as usual, I can't post on the forums for home so I need to do it from the library or the flea market. UGH!

    Lisa, i know you were informed that my cards made it into the mail. YEAH!

    Can't wait till you send out all the goodies.  We can't imagine you sitting in the midst of 2500 cards! LOL

     HAVE FUN!

    {no packages of cards last night}

    I don't know.  I have a few that are in the mail to me, but I am still short about 30 stacks of cards.  I may just be sending people 2 of each and call it good.  It makes me Crying

    I finished up my cards last night and mailed them today. It’s such a rush to go to the post office to mail packages for anysoldier stuff. I love it! This was my first swap and I've only been sending packages for a few weeks. I think it's wonderful what all of you do for our troops and I'm proud to be a part of it!

    Lisa,

      Don't despair!  The 12th is still 6 days away, and you might just get deluged with cards by then! I sent mine to you in an FRB along with a few Christmas things for you--now I'm in the holiday mood!!  Hang in there!!

    Hugs!

    Lisa.........looks like the packages are taking more than 2-3 days to get to you.    I sent mine priority on Mon and you still don't have them today   (sorry....didn't make it to the PO on Sat).    From what people have said and when you are receiving them, it's ltaking  a bit longer to get to you.    Like someone just said........we have a few more "postal" days for them to make it to you.   Maybe you can call up your PO and ask your carrier on the day of the 12th to look through the hamper (hampers are filled with packages for that particular route.........each route gets their own hamper) and you can get them yourself.............just a suggestion!!!    It'll all work out...............
