Has anyone else noticed the new house raffle?

    Re: House Raffle

If I didn't already make a donation to AS in the last few weeks, I'd jump at the chance of $100 ticket for the house.    Too tight right now..........Good luck to anyone trying.    I will send it on in my email contact list though.

    Nice idea Marty and team......

I left the picture on the screen while I went to the table to have lunch.  My hubby saw it on the screen and asked if I was getting a ticket.  I told him that I was going to talk about it with him and he asked where my credit card was.  We now have a ticket.  He even googled to see where in the U.S. it was  exactly.   Looks sweet.

Folks, I can't stress how important this raffle is.  If successful (and it will be with your help) this company will be in good shape.  If not, it's over.  That isn't an option for me.

I need the help of every supporter to help get the word out on this.  I can assure you that our legal team and others have hammered this into submission since March.  This HAS to be THE most legal raffle in history.

We know not everyone can afford $100 tickets, but you can send email to folks who might.  We need that help, and we really appreciate all YOU do.

    Thank you.

Wow!  This is a big raffle!!!  I have participated in some house raffles that are put on by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Apparently they do well with them since they have had 3 just in the Dallas area in the last few years.  So little money... so many good causes!!!!

     OK...I'm in!

ETA:  I thought I was lucky number 7, but the counter doesn't update with every purchase :(  I guess I will find out 11-11  :)

    Marty

have you considered advertising this raffle to the general public or do you? Especially in the Maryland /DC area and I assume it is a tax free deduction?

I really really want to do this but I can't afford a $100 .. I have actually had to slow down on my support because of our financial situation.. [economy]

Marty what do you mean it is over?? are you saying there are no other options? I have been donating as much as I can though I know it doesn't help much.

Could we not also try to do local fund raisers? We have all had some good ideas, and I know there are more out there.. we could do it in key areas of all the states.. (junkie per state).. thoughts? We don't want this to be over Marty.. you all are the best!!

What a beautiful house!   Hmmmm... I think I can move to Maryland!  Maybe it would make a good place for some of our returning wounded warriors to take a break at or stay at while transitioning back into civilian life ~ just dreaming.......  I am passing this along to everyone I know and will see if I can get it to TV/Radio.  I am in Southern California, after all!

    We'll see,

    Hmmm... Nice.

Unfortunately, I can't move to MD, so I will just send this as a donation in addition to my monthly donation.

    Re: House Raffle

I can't move to Maryland right now, either, BUT since they have to sell a required number of tickets or the raffle can't take place, I am going to buy a ticket anyway (I just need to budget for it).  And if I win anyway, there are other things I can do with it - sell it for the cash, rent it, or use it as a second home.  Lots of options! Big Smile

In the meantime, I'm forwarding the link to my friends and family.

Great promotion, Marty!  It's a beautiful home, and I hope the raffle goes well!

I want to help, too--I have ticket #6!  If I won the house, I would try to set up one of those "Starker" exchanges (I think that's what it's called) for a property closer to home.

Can someone put together a one-page brochure for us to download and distribute?  Or can we order packs of 50 brochures from AnySoldier?

    Re: House Raffle

    Hi,

I just sent a message to NBC Channel 5 in Dallas/Ft Worth telling them about the raffle. Don't know if they will use it, but thought it was worth a try.
