    Just a thought but maybe

CSM Harry B. Lockamy's folks (USA, IQ) could benefit from a some more Holiday Cheer - 570 Soldiers - 42 reqs - out of Texas.

    Re: Christmas Requests 2008

I have sent several packages last month. Then, I have been involved with family things. Today, I thought that I could get a box in mail, but I didn't get it packed in time. Do you think they will get it by Christmas if I get something in the mail tomorrow or Saturday?

    Re: Christmas Requests 2008

Ruth, go ahead and send it. If it doesn't get there before Christmas (and I think it WILL), they'll appreciate it anyway...two Christmases, if you will...

Ruth -One or two days past deadline - they just might get it 'on time':).

Just a thought - even in the civilian world there are jobs that must be done 24/7/365. How much more so in a combat zone!

How cool for the Soldier coming back from a patrol a few days after the holdiay to a 'late arrive' package just for his guys.

Personally, the package that arrives after Christmas brings just as big a smile for me as the on time ones:).

I figured this just arrived unit from Fort Drum could probably use some holiday support so I am posting it here even tho they have not specifically asked for it.

SGT Curtis W. Braswell, USA, IQ, 11 reqs

Posted 12/4, 15/0, NY, Requesting: He says all clothing needs to be nomex or 100 % cotton. I’m assuming some kind of non-perishable, nourishing food would be welcome also judging by his post. You really need to read the post.

SSG John E. Bateman, USA, IQ, Staff Sergeant, 19 reqs

Posted 12/4, 10/0, KS, Requesting: among other things blank cards for sending home for the holidays and special occasions.

    Re: Christmas Requests 2008

I got 3 large FRB sent to Harry Lockamy today. One had travel mirrors, nail polish, cuticle softener, lip gloss. One had chocolates and the 3rd had body lotions.

Check out the website for E.L.F. for clearance lipgloss and other girl stuff. My daughter says this is the brand that Nordstroms sells and that they are changing the packaging to have their own name on it. I ordered a bunch of stuff and sent most of it today.

Also, I had a couple of pound boxes of Godiva chocolates that I had ordered half-price from their website after some holiday and then delayed having them sent until about 2 months later. So, if they don't melt, they will have some fancy chocolates.

This Soldier is apparently getting a bunch of letters but could use more support in the area of care packages for his Soldiers - esp now around the holiday and continuing into the new yearJ .

Post Nov 10, 80/2, Missouri, Requesting: microwavable foods, chips, granola bars, candy bars, candies, wh socks, black beanie hats, Christmas Stockings, personal hygiene kits, mags, calendars, wet wipes, can foods, board games.
